Witness a glorious sunrise! Have breakfast on our deck, breathe in the pure mountain air and marvel at our majestic view of the western MD mountains and Deep Creek Lake. No mosquitoes!
Visit the Discovery Center at Deep Creek State Park, swim or go boating in the lake. Summer days are warm; evenings nice and cool for sleeping. Autumn Glory is fantastic in the fall. In the winter you can ski at wonderful Ski Wisp (only 10 minutes).
Then, enjoy a drink in front of our stone fireplace or relax in the hot tub while the kids play foosball, cards, board games or the keyboard in our spacious den downstairs (equipped with a propane stove). Go out on the deck in the evening to view a wonderful Heaven full of stars and, if you're lucky, a full moon also! Life doesn't get much better than this!
Linens are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. Owner pays cleaning bill!

- We have a keyboard in the den downstairs. If Susie, Jimmy or Mom need to practice their piano lessons while on vacation or the family wants to have a sing-a-long, it is available for use by our guests.

Summer, winter, early fall,holidays & Autumn Glory.. $550/week-end, $1150/week
Late Fall and Spring .... $450/week-end .. $ 900/week
$200 deposit. 50% of rental 60 days in advance.
Remainder of rent due 14 days before occupancy.

Year Purchased: 2000
We are now retired from an independent school in Severna Park, MD. We have four beautiful daughters, three super sons-in-law and eight wonderful grandchildren.
Why the Owner Chose Swanton
We are from New England, love snow and skiing. We have lived in Anne Arundel County, MD for 34 years which is beautiful, but doesn't have as much snow and as many cool summer evenings as Garrett Co. does, so we chose to buy a vacation home in the western MD mountains.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Deep Creek State Park is 5 minutes from our home. There are many activities at the Discovery Center. A lovely afternoon can be enjoyed with a picnic lunch (tables and grills are supplied) at the beach, swimming, playing volleyball and just taking in the breathless view of the lake. You can launch your boat at the Park also. Movie theaters are only 5 minutes in the other direction.

Had a great time in deep creek and your house was perfect. More than enough room for my wife and I and our kids. The hot tub was great and the view of the lake this time of year is beautiful. The sunrise over the lake is well worth waking up for. Can't wait to get back to Deep Creek and will definitely plan on renting again in the future.

We visited Deep Creek in October 2010 and stayed in this beautiful home. We had a wonderful time! That house was so incredibly clean which is quite important to us as we have young children. The kitchen was fully stocked which was also a great perk. Location to Deep Creek State Park was wonderful for us. There were many different things for the kids to do as well as we were close to being "in town" for last minute grocery runs and other shopping. Thank you for renting your wonderful retreat home to us! We had a fantastic time!

Just had the pleasure of spending a weekend in "Sunrise" with 4 of my college friends. We've known each other for over 30 years and found the house to be the perfect place to sit around the fire or dining room table and visit for many hours. The house was immaculate and well maintained. We enjoyed every minute. The hot tub was a big highlight for us, even though the temperature dipped into the 30s! Thanks so much for sharing your retreat with us. We would love to return next fall and make this an annual event.

I would be remiss in my duties, not to pass on the great time we had at your home on Deep Creek Lake. This was the perfect spot for my family to meet and greet family and friends, we have not seen in a few years. Your home was a lovely place to start and end our days while visiting the local area's, relaxing in the hot tub, and enjoying the view from the deck with hot coffee in hand. I would recommend this home for anyone who enjoys a relaxing time at Deep Creek Lake.

My 5 friends and I rented this beautiful cabin for a long weekend getaway, and we had a blast! It's very homey, comfy, and pretty. We really enjoyed the hot tub on a cold night! There is ample room and the bedrooms are very nice! We all enjoyed it!
