Meddybemps Lake, known as the calendar lake; for it’s shoreline of 365 miles, 52 islands and seven miles in length. This comfy cottage is located on a private family owned peninsula providing you with plenty of peace and quiet. Sit back and soak up the sun on the front deck or sit inside and relax on the porch; both with a spectacular view of the lake and surrounding mountains.
The property has a grassy yard that slopes down to the lake, with an outdoor fireplace/grill area where you can relax and watch the wildlife or go for a refreshing swim or enjoy fishing from the dock where the small mouth bass seem to hop onto your hook.
The cottage has one bedroom and a convertible bed on the front porch. There is a full kitchen with everything you should need to make yourself feel at home.
Nearby is the public boat landing; you are welcome to bring your own boat or we can provide you with a rental. Boating on Meddybemps Lake is an adventure in itself. There are several beautiful areas to explore, go for a picnic, stop at the sandy beach for a swim or maybe venture through serene sixteenth stream, or explore an island. The best part of Meddybemps Lake is that we are not overcrowded here.
Washington County has so much to offer and we are situated almost in the middle of it all. Only twenty minutes away is the International Border crossing to Canada, where historic St.Andrews-By-The-Sea is located, only thirty minutes away. A short drive away is a beautiful coastal drive along the Bay of Fundy, where you can stop in or pass through quaint coastal towns like Moose Island, the City of Eastport, for a ferry ride, deep sea fish trip or a schooner sunset cruise. As well as the Town of Lubec, where you can again enter into Canada onto Campobello Island, to tour Roosevelt National Park.
