Why the Owner Chose Phoenicia
I chose to buy in this location for its spectacular natural beauty. The area is gorgeous, with mountains and streams and clear mountain air, and there are tons of things to do (or one can do nothing). It's far enough from the city to feel as though you're in a different world but close enough to be easily accessible. And the people are artsy and unpretentious yet sophisticated.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The house is warm and inviting; luxurious yet homey and rustic all at the same time. There is a small stream next to the house with a rushing brook at the end of it. The large sunny lawn is perfect for outdoor activities and it's surrounded by forest and mountain views. The range of activities available within a very short distance is enormous. Fishing, hiking, biking, skiing/snowboarding, kayaking, tubing, etc.; art, antiques, theatre, dance, indoor and outdoor concerts, restaurants, great local organic farms, cooking out, stargazing...the opportunities are endless.
