The Atlantic crashes upon the shore while dolphins frolic, pelicans fly in formation overhead and ghost crabs scramble across the sugary sand. There is no place like this on earth!
Nestled within this paradise lies our cozy cottage by the sea. A short walk down the lane leads you over the dunes to the beach. After a long day of sun, sea and sand cool off in your private pool or relax in the hot tub. Plan a cookout, read a book, take some time to recharge and rejuvenate.
If it's action your after there are hundreds of things to do: kite boarding, wind surfing, surf fishing, kayaking, deep sea fishing, sight seeing, shopping, etc., etc., etc. Do it all or do nothing--this is your time.

Year Purchased: 2005
Sharon and Paul moved to the Outer Banks in 1989 for a job opportunity. Paul was hired to be chief pilot for a small airline on the islands. What was to be a brief stop on Paul's career path, turned into a life long love affair with the area. They stayed, started a family, bought a house. Sharon opened a popular restaurant, The Full Moon Cafe, located on Roanoke Island. They now have three wonderful boys, a houseful of pets, and a life filled with laughter and love.
Why the Owner Chose Salvo
Although we live only 45 minutes away, the beauty and tranquility of our little cottage is a world apart. Life on Hatteras Island has its own pace. The beaches are incredibly beautiful, stretching for miles in isolated splendor. There is so much to do here: fishing, kayaking, kite-boarding, windsurfing, bird and turtle watching, shopping and lots more. Do a lot or do nothing, the choice is yours.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage/House
The pool and hot tub are a favorite with our guests. Because of the lush, indigenous foliage surrounding the pool, you almost feel that you are alone on the island. The cottage is done in beachy, natural tones with time-washed hardwood floors and comfy couches. This is a beach cottage that truly makes you feel the wind in your hair and the sand between your toes. Enjoy!
