This properties unique location lets you take advantage of all there is to do in the Four Corners Area. A fifteen minute drive south will take you to Navajo Lake. With over a 150 miles of shoreline Navajo Lake is known as the Lake Powell of Colorado.
Whether from a boat or from the shoreline, fishing is great at Navajo Lake. Jet skis and boat rentals are also available. Traveling twenty minutes south from Navajo Lake is the town of Ignacio Colorado, where you will find a world class casino and restaurants if you enjoy going head-to-head with lady luck.
Another twenty minute drive east from the home will take you to Pagosa Springs Colorado where you can enjoy this historic mountain village and soak in its world famous mineral hot springs.
Summer means "Fun in the Sun". Whether you're a fly fisherman or river rafting the San Juan River (with its side streams, Tributaries and Alpine Lakes) offers just about anyone "a little of this and a whole lot of that.
" With a variety of great restaurants and plenty of family fun that includes horse back riding, golfing, and the Fourth of July parade and fireworks, along with the Red Ryder Rodeo you will want to return to Pagosa Country year after year.
Some of the other towns and attractions that are a short drive away include the town of Durango, where you can get on board the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Also, you can visit Mesa Verde National Monument and view the Ancestral Pueblo's cliff dwellings.

we bought this beautiful home in chimney rock as we had made a wrong turn and ended up right in front of this beautiful A-Frame swiss ski chalet looking home..we pulled into the long driveway and had to drive over a small bridge as the stream was flowing heavily and climbed up the stairs to knock on the door for help and couldnt believe the amazing view of chimney rock as we looked around we realized how peaceful and quiet it was and so we bought it and now live happily ever after between maui and colorado.. we feel very blessed to be able to live on one of the most beautiful islands in the world and to sit on our deck drinking coffe and being speechless at the sight of chimney rock..so much history there and beauty..and oh so very quiet.thats my husband and I we live out our dreams and am grateful for every day ..aloha from Maui Karen & Paul
