Welcome to the Cherry Mountain Home, where Sierra elegance comes with a warm, intimate feel. This beautifully designed home is nicely sited on a golf course in Tahoe-Donner, where you can enjoy four seasons of fun in a convenient location. Biking, hiking, water sports, golfing, skiing and much more – it’s all a short walk or drive away. Nordic ski or snowshoe right outside the back door. Or simply relax by the sunny windows and take in the treesy views of the golf course, which turns into a lovely field of snow each winter.
The home is close to two private country clubs with pools, tennis courts, work out facilities, beach and marina access at Lake Donner and golf. Also, a few blocks from the private equestrian center and ski resort for children. Guest passes are provided as part of the home rental to use these private facilities. ( season specific)
The house is approximately 2600 square feet on two levels with 4 bedrooms and is appointed with mountain furnishings, luxury beds and linens. King-size beds are in each of the two luxurious master suites with Jacuzzi tubs, and in another large, sunny bedroom. First floor Master allows single level living. These stately bedrooms are quite private, with south-facing golf-course views, as well as the forest. Upstairs you’ll find an additional large bedroom with 1 single twin and a twin bunk bed plus plenty of floor space to play. With a total of 3 king beds and 3 twins, this house sleeps 9 comfortably.
The beautifully decorated living room with high slanted ceiling is grand yet comfortable, with a cozy gas-log fireplace, elegant furnishings and bright views, and is adjacent to a dining area that easily seats 8. Dining area opens to the deck overlooing the golf course.
The fully equipped, gourmet kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances features a bar area that makes for stylish entertaining. Catch a movie in the adjacent semi-private TV and game room, with Cable TV, DVD, and a small children’s gaming table with billiards, hockey and more.
Off the kitchen there is a separate laundry room adn second "mud "room. A powder room on the ground floor keeps traffic out of the bedrooms.
The Cherry House is well equipped with board games for the whole family.

Harmon-Kardon speakers with USB plug for iPods or laptops with USB port. Please note that this is the ONLY stereo system in the house.
Parking is available for up to 5 cars: 2-car garage (for two mid-sized vehicles); ample driveway features a separate space for an additional car.

About Tahoe-Donner:
Tahoe Donner is near Lake Tahoe and Donner Lake, and is just a few miles from historic downtown Truckee. Tahoe Donner includes access to the Trout Creek Recreation Center, Tennis Center, Northwoods pool, sauna, steam room, & health club, and a private beach on Donner Lake that rents paddle boats, canoes, kayaks and more.
There is a championship 18-hole golf course in the Tahoe Donner Association, an equestrian center, and many miles of scenic hiking and biking trails. Two guest passes for 4 guests each are provided at the house. Tahoe-Donner charges a small fee charged for each amenity, when you go.
Most activities we checked on the VRBO checklist are 5-10 minutes away. The rest are no more than 30 minutes away. Call for details.
If you want to try your hand at blackjack, Crystal Bay Nevada is about 15 miles away on the north shore of Lake Tahoe, and Reno is about 40 miles away on I-80 east.??
