Rest, relaxation and/or a day at the beach? Galveston is your place. The Island has recovered from Ike - with the Strand, the Seawall shops and restaurants open for business.
Come to the Galveston area and spend your time overlooking the Gulf Coast! This condo is a 1 BR 1 bath unit located on the 7th floor of our building.
The living room sliding glass doors open to a spectacular view of the gulf. Looking to the east, you view beach and rock jetties; looking to the west you see amusement parks and a movie complex.
At the rear of the unit, you can gaze from the balcony onto a waterway and the Moody botanical gardens and Schlitterbahn. The Moody aquarium is less than 2 miles from our unit.
Our building contains a small library, which allows you to just relax on the deck reading a favorite novel or going down to the pool to join other guests in swimming, sun-bathing, and grilling your food at the barbecue pit located in our cabana.
The unit contains a full kitchen, a cable TV/DVD unit as well as wireless internet.

Privacy at the pool and cabana; minimal road noise; a fantastic view of the ocean; spacious parking behind the building. The unit has easy access to I-45. The location at 74d street is quiet and secure (we have a gated parking lot and 24 hour security for the building.

I like this property because it has a front desk with security guard so there are not a lot of people hanging around. The pool is very nice with a covered area and tables. My condo had lots of cute beach themed dishes and plastic glassware. This is a great price for a condo with the beach (at low tide) across the street. The owner was great with turnaround of information. Restaurant at 35th & O street had the best gumbo I've had in decades!

The facility, pool, and condo itself are wonderful for an island getaway. They have all ammenities and a wonderfully appointed condo that is perfect for couples or a small family. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend them to anyone planning a trip!!

My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend at the condo. It was very clean, cozy, and easily accessible. The view of the ocean was spectacular. The entire complex was quiet and well maintained. The next time we are in Galveston, we will definitely stay here.

Spent a very nice 3-days over the Labor Day WE..Quiet and clean complex away from the congestion on the East end..Quite adequate for 2 with all you need except groceries..Will return!!!

Our family of three stayed in Unit #709 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The decor & view were both relaxing and entertaining. The condo was clean & cozy. The main island attractions are just a couple of minutes away - Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, movie theater, etc. WiFi is also provided; a definite plus. The only drawbacks were no TV in the master bedroom & there was no DVD player available (only VCR). The owner is also in constant contact, if necessary. We would definitely recommend & stay at this condo again.
Owner response:Adding a television to the master bedrom is a good idea but cannot be done owing to placement of cable outlet BEHIND guest bed. On July 5, we replaced the DVD player that was in the unit this Fall. Paul

The condo was so bright and clean with evrything you need. The view from the livingroom and dining area you see nothing but ocean. Moody Gardens and Walmart are just a couple of blocks away. The beaches and restaurants are just a few minutes away.

Great place to spend your vacation. This condo is centrally located with a terrific view of the ocean. It was clean and very spacious. There was plenty of room for 5 of us. The building is well maintained and was very quiet. The pool area is fantastic and it was the perfect place to end our days of adventure. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and made things very easy for us. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy John and Peggy's Beach Retreat. Galveston is coming back and we will definately be back to visit again.
