Open the garden gate and step onto one of Sicily's loveliest beaches at Villa Fragale on the Tyrhenean Sea near the magnificent medieval town of Cefalu, Sicily. Situated on approximately three-quarters of an acre with a quiet stretch of beach and surrounded by beautiful gardens, Villa Fragale allows you to enjoy the pleasures of the Coast while providing a convenient home base to explore picturesque Cefalu, one of Sicily's hidden delights, as well as nearby Palermo, Agrigento, Siracusa, and Taormina.
An impressive tile entranceway welcomes you to this delightful villa with a comfortable living room that features sliding glass doors opening to a large patio with beautiful statue fountain. The large family kitchen was recently renovated and is a cook's delight. Directly off the kitchen is your screened side porch. Follow the brick path to your private sandy beach with outdoor shower. Enjoy your personal space or walk up the beach to the Salinelle Beach Club for rental of water sport activites including windsurfing and jet skis.
The fresh and airy second level features three well appointed, generous bedrooms each with a queen bed, lovely furniture and linens. The fully tiled second floor full bath and shower features a soaking tub.
Two of the bedrooms open onto a spacious covered balcony facing the beach while the back bedroom faces a compelling view of the mountains and gardens. Two gated entranceways allow for plenty of parking. Ten minutes away by car in Campofelice is the La Madonnie Golf Course, a world class course overlooking the Sea on one side and the National Reserve of the Madonie Hills on the other.
Villa Fragale is approximately 55 kilometers east of Palermo and easily reached by train from the Lascari Railroad station which is within walking distance from the Villa. Trains leave regularly for Cefalu where you can enjoy the incredible Cathedral built during the reign of King Roger II. In the summer months, ferries leave from Cefalu about 7:30 am for a pleasant day trip to the Aeolean Islands of Lipari and Volcano where you can take a relaxing mud bath.
