Why the Owner Chose Surf City
After spending time at the Jersey Shore and the Outer Banks, we decided on Topsail Island. It lacks the crowds and traffic of the Jersey Shore, yet is not as isolated as the Outer Banks. Our place is about a mile (easy walking distance) from the pier, and close to restaurants and shopping. The waves at the beach across the street are small and safe, but great for learning to surf. When the wind picks up there is great windsurfing and kite boarding!

Great views, private yard and pool, and only steps to the beach. All on a quiet street, close enough that everything is in walking distance, but far enough away to have privacy.
Having a private pool is great if you have small children. It is a stress-free place for them to swim, while you relax. Also at the end of the day it is very relaxing to take a quick dip and chill out with a beverage.
Owner's Map of Surf City
The Savanna Republic is the beach house for our family of 5. My wife and I have three boys and we live in Pennsylvania so we only have a chance to enjoy the house a couple weeks a year. The house gets its name from its Parrot Head owners, and is named partially after our yellow lab Savanna, who is no longer with us. This is not a rental unit, it is our home. So when we purchase things for it, they are quality, like you would have in your home.
New this year we have added a backyard with a built in pool. The pool is now in and ready for swimming. Now you can choose to swim in the pool or the ocean! both only steps away from each other.
