Located on a small bluff overlooking Lummi, Vancouver, Matia, Patos and other San Juan islands, this 5 bedroom, ocean-front home sleeps 12 to 14 guests. The beautiful, newly redesigned interior with hard wood flooring is warm and comfortable. There are two bedrooms upstairs, One with a King bed and the other with a Queen, and there are three bedrooms downstairs, one with a King, one with a Queen and another with two sets of bunk beds. The room with the bunk beds connected with a fun, kid-sized door to a gaming room (which can also be accessed by a standard-sized door from the other side), where a Wii is provided for your child's (or your own) entertainment. A blow-up bed is also provided, allowing up to 14 guests to sleep comfortably in this home. There is one bathroom on each floor. Satellite TV is available both upstairs and down. The newly remodeled kitchen is fully equipped with brand new appliances, cabinets and granite counter tops.
The wrap-around and fully furnished deck with a barbecue, along with the fire pit in the back yard are great ways to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of this home. There is a private neighborhood access to the beach that is an easy a two-minute walk from the front door. The beautiful, Pacific Ocean can be seen from almost anywhere in the home. Located in the Pacific Northwest, there is so much the area has to offer. This home is the perfect place for a relaxing and fun get away for you and your family and friends.

Why the Owner Chose Bellingham
Having grown up in the area, I know that the Pacific Northwest is a great place to enjoy so many aspects of nature. I, personally, enjoy the arts, so even the drive out to this rental home is inspiring, not to mention the stunning view of the ocean from anywhere on the property. Downtown Bellingham, only a short drive away, also has so much to offer in the way of arts and entertainment.
The Unique Benefits at this House
This property is on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Lumi and other San Juan islands. With a fire pit in the backyard and deck with a barbecue the home is a supreme place to fully take in all of the surrounding natural beauty. The view can be enjoyed from inside the house too, the vast windows allow the ocean to be seen from almost anywhere in the home. With beach access and other nearby entertainment, this home is ideal for enjoying the area to the fullest.

I stayed here with our team from the Ski to Sea race and we had a great weekend. The bad: --The listing description says there's a BBQ grill. There's not. We'd brought steaks for one of our dinners and called the owner asking where the BBQ was. She never returned out call. --The listing says the beach is an easy 2 minute walk away. That's true. What it doesn't say is the beach access is via a steep 40' stairway to the beach that was destroyed by a storm. There is no beach access now that the stairway is gone. --The "fire pit" is a hole dug in the ground right next to the cliff within inches of vegetation that would catch on fire if we had tried to have any kind of fire in it. --The rental agreement states you must bring your own toilet paper. --There's no trash can in the kitchen. --I didn't care, but others might - there is no internet access at the home. Now for the good: --Kitchen is well-equipped for cooking. --Lots of space for everyone and comfortable living room furniture --Beautiful views and sunsets, wow! --We saw hundreds of blue herons flying by outside the windows --House was clean, beds and linens were good. --Quiet, residential neighborhood Overall - A 5 star house with 2 stars taken away for an inaccurate description (no BBQ grill, no response from owner when we inquired about it, and no beach access anymore)
Owner response:Ski to Sea Racer, I am so sorry that your stay was less than you expected. I will go check the garage for the BBQ that should be out there. I make sure it gets put away during rough weather. I should have made sure it was where it should be. There is a trash can in a cabinet on the same wall as the refrigerator. It installed on a roller system, and in an odd place in the kitchen. As for the call, I did not intentionally not respond to you, I did not get a voicemail and saw no missed calls. I'm not quite sure what happened, but this could have been avoided had I provided a backup number for you to call. I am very sorry about the beach access. That must have been quite recent because I was completely unaware that the access had been destroyed. I understand that that was a big draw to the house and I'm sorry for your inconvenience. I am glad to hear that the kitchen, bedrooms, space, cleanliness and view were all to your satisfaction. I hope your trip was a good one overall, and that your race went well! Best, Chelsea
