What immediately captures your attention is the quietness that surrounds this beautiful two-story Cedar house. Out of a picture book, this is the quintessential place to relax. That relaxation could happen on the front porch overlooking a grand meadow of 4 acres of mature woodland. Or, perhaps you’d like to sip your lemonade on the screened in porch that views the acre of green grass which leads to the blue stone patio in the midst of an eclectic garden? If that weren’t enough, stretch out on folding chairs on the garden blue stone patio, while your companions have a picnic behind you on the backyard grassy overlook.

For the more adventurous – just across the road is a private woodland deck that provides an opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine in refined silence or simply survey your surroundings as part of the landscape.

A glorious 350 square foot blue stone stream side patio caps off the entire 7-acre outdoor experience. Walk down to stream level, grill a delicious meal for six or more and contemplate all that is good with the world in this very private dining experience.

Okay, ready to go inside? 2,000 square feet of cool living space await you. Cedar not only has a calming effect it also keeps the interior of the house incredibly cool no matter how hot it is outside. From the living room, floor to ceiling windows on the southern and western sides look out to the meadow and garden patio respectively. For those some times chilly Catskill nights, a “Defiant” cast-iron wood burning stove wonderfully heats the whole house while providing a bit of romance. The spacious master bedroom features cathedral ceilings and a blue stone fireplace that reminds you of being in a magical ski chalet.

The rustic eat-in kitchen looks out over the grand 3-acre backyard, the stream side patio, and a children’s jungle gym complete with swing set and slide. Stocked with all the modern amenities, featuring a Viking stove, this kitchen has the allure to keep you inside, even on the most beautiful of days! Off of the kitchen is a wonderful dining room with floor to ceiling windows that look out over the garden and connects directly with the screened in porch via sliding glass doors. 8 people could have a grand dinner with even grander conversation in a room like this.

Upstairs you will find 3 amazingly charming rooms. The back two rooms both lead out to a petite but nice balcony overlooking the entire backyard. Each room comes with its own private bathroom, one with bathtub the other with a shower. The largest of the rooms is the room in the front that gets an abundance of light, overlooks the meadow and garden, and provides a mattress so comfortable that it is the perfect excuse to not get out of bed.

Details. The house is in a private area of Willow NY that is 50 yards from the Mt. Tremper trail, an 8-minute drive into the town of Woodstock, a quick 10-minute drive to the town of Phoenicia and the Emerson Spa. This house comfortably accommodates 3 couples or 2 couples with kids.
