Want a great family vacation place? Our house is located directly in front of Haystack Rock in Pacific City, Kiwanda Shores development. Perfect Family house, remodeled recently. Sit on the deck and watch the kids surf, or get in the water in a few short steps. Nice private location with Sand Dune buffering one side of the house - wide open views of Kape Kiwanda and the giant dune on the other. Numerous activities in Pacific City, or no activity at all - it's an easy place to just relax on the deck and watch the ocean.
A few notes: No Smoking inside or near the house - we like clean smelling beach and ocean. Owned by Surfer and Snowboarder, so it's not your grandma's beach house - but not party central either! No shoes in the house at all - in keeping with Island customs of respect for household.

Year Purchased: 1997
I bought this house many years ago, with a dream of having a little place to go with the family and learn to surf better. Still a crummy surfer - but if I ever get better, I'll walk right off the deck and be in some of the best surf in Oregon. I prefer renting to families and small groups.
Why the Owner Chose Pacific City
Pacific City is a great little beach town that doesn't have that trashy tourist look that most of the other Oregon Beach towns have so lovingly acquired. A real fishing town, with seriously good beaches and waterways.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Crabbing, whale watching, beach walks, giant sand dune hikes, surfing, sand boarding (which never works as good as it should), Bingo at the senior center on Wednesday nights, good restaurants and coffee house.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at this home right on the sandy beach of Kiwanda shores. We were fortunate to have beautiful, sunny weather the two days we stayed here. Walks along the beach, trips to the pub, flying kites, playing frisbee, roasting marshmallows on the beach, and just sitting in the sand were a few of the activities we enjoyed while staying at this vacation home. Also running along the front deck of the house and jumping from the deck to the sand seemed to be a favorite sport (to see who could jump the farthest?) amongst the kids and adults. The inside of this home was clean and comfortable with fantastic views of haystack rock! There is so much to see and do along the coast of Oregon and we enjoyed everthing we did, but this was the best home we stayed in for playing on a sandy beach. Highly Recommended!

Beautiful location right on the sand. Easy walk along the beach to Pelican Brewery with Haystack Rock right in front of you. Nicely remodeled. Kitchen is new with granite countertops. House is clean and enjoyable. No trash service was minor inconvenience.

Wow, I have so many amazing photos from my time at the beach house this past spring. I would recommend this spot as the perfect getaway. The Oregon Coast is so beautiful. The views from the house are amazing!

Perfect for us surfers and we didn't even have to get out of bed to check the waves. Just sleep in the master bedroom and open the shades to peek at the ocean right in front of you. Beautiful sunsets and view of Haystack Rock. Can't beat the location.

Staying at this house is a little "slice of heaven" for me. Living in the city and always on the go, it gives me the downtime needed to recharge the batteries. The location is very private, and ability to walk onto the beach from the deck is priceless. Pacific City is a the perfect blend of small town, modern cafes and restaurants, and endless outdoor activities. The house itself is beautiful, functional, and has all of the amenities one needs to enjoy a fabulous weekend/weekday at the beach!

This is an incredible home! The beach access & view is unbeatable! We have small children, so we spend a lot of time inside which makes the location deal! This is a true oasis and perfect place for some R&R. Plus, it's super private and quiet, so you feel like you're the only people on the beach!

This house is amazing - location, location, location. Being right on the ocean is such a treat - mesmerizing and relaxing...I call it Rancho Relaxo! Walked up and down the beach without having to worry about cars or even other people really. Pacific City is still low-key - I don't think many people know it's there (shhhhhh). Thanks again...I feel refreshed!
