Mel and Pearl: Rita and I had such a great time in Kauai, thank you for sharing your property with us. The view is absolutely stunning, the condo was just perfect and it was so nice to just move in and feel right at home. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai, relaxing and resting and watching the sea turtles and the surfers. It was hard to leave it all and return to Minnesota. Again, thanks for a great place to stay, Bob and Rita

Hi Mel! Here is the key to #314. We left everything in good order. We had a great stay - we liked the condo! The weather cooperated and it was warm and sunny the whole time. The crib wasn't set up when we got there but we managed to find a tool in a kitchen drawer to put in together with. We took it down and put it away afterward also. I ran into Mr. Fernandez at one point and he started to mention the crib but I was being tugged away by my little granddaughter and we didn't get to finish our conversation! However, I thought that it probably didn't get set up because there wasn't room for it in the bedroom without the bathroom attached - so the "kids" ended up in that one. It all worked out well, anyway! We bought and left at the condo a couple of folding beach chairs for future guests. Thanks very much, Mel - it was a pleasure dealing with you. This is our last night in your beautiful condo. We have really enjoyed it. You did a nice job decorating - we love the artwork and Hawaiian motif. And the view is spectacular! Always entertaining watching the turtles, whales, spinner dolphins, surfers and beautiful sunsets - I'll miss the sound of the surf as well. We will definately recommend your condo to our friends who may be coming to Kauai. Thanks again! Ken & Micke

Dear Mel, Thanks again for your hospitality. My friends and I loved our stay at Kuhio Shores; we're jealous that you get to go there anytime! The location was perfect, the accommodations wonderful, and the supplies (boogie boards, tatami mats, etc.) were a nice plus! We took the liberty of supplementing your beach equipment with a Nerf football, a frisbee, a couple of snorkel sets, and some reef shoes. We hope they can in part make up for the plate and wine glass we dropped and broke. Also, while we were kayaking the Wailua River, our kayak flipped over and our keys fell into the freshwater deep. We still have one key, but please let me know the replacement charge of the key that is now in the bottom of the river (and any other charges we may have incurred). I'll be happy to send you a check when I mail back the key still in our possession (and there is still a key in the lockbox - a great idea, if I may add!). Thanks again, Tony

Mel and Pearl: The condo was great. Pat, Katie, and Evelyn and I enjoyed it immensely. We also enjoyed meeting the two of you and understand how much you like your condos and the view every day. If we come to that part of the island again we will certainly call and try to book 314 plus we will pass it on to our friends and neighbors here in Seattle. Mel, if everything was OK with the way we left the condo just go ahead and tear up the deposit check or shred it, no need to return it. Also, Pearl, thanks for the book! I finished it on the way home and enjoyed it. Hope you are liking the ones I gave you! Once again thanks for such a well equipped and beautiful condo. We are experiencing the shock of not being on vacation! Oh well, maybe retirement will come soon. Best regards, Jan and Pat

Dear Mel: Well, we are home from Kauai and back into the 'working mode'. As of today, Christmas is over and things can settle back down to handle routine tasks. We had such a marvelous time on the island and at your condo that we are ready to go back! Your condo and its setting were absolutely marvelous. What a beautiful place. Thank you for allowing us to share your Hawaiian home, even if it was only for a few days. It was everything you said it would be including listening to the ocean waves' roar, watching the beautiful sunrises/sunsets, watching the sea turtles swim, snorkeling on the beach, enjoying the ocean views from all those windows, and so much more. The condo was equipped with everything we needed and more. We left the unit clean and tidy - even laundered the towels we used. The bedroom with the king bed was the room we chose to sleep in and the mattress was like none other that we have slept on. We were wondering if you could either send or email us the info on the mattress, as we are interested in purchasing one. My husband and I both have chronic back problems. The bed really made a difference in not only how we slept but how are backs felt the next day, so we are anxious for more information on the mattress specifications. Enclosed is the unit key and we will watch for our $300 deposit to be returned. Once again, thank you so much. We are wishing you and yours a healthy, happy, peaceful 2007. Sincerely, Kristine
