Overbank Above - the - Beach: 60 feet high above Harbor Beach for spectacular sunrise and sunset ocean views and the sound of waves and fresh ocean smells. Choose the front lawn with fire-pit for evening storytelling, the Garden Terrace for outside dining, relaxing in the Garden Retreat with wood buring fireplace on those magical foggy days, or a late night beach walk.

Second Floor: Second Floor: Grand front staircase leads to (4) front bedrooms with ocean views, (2) master suites with in-suite bathrooms and (2) bedrooms served by a front hall bathroom. (2) rear bedrooms face the Garden with glimpses of the ocean and sounds of the waves on Harbor Beach. These rooms are served by a 2nd floor bath and optional back staircase to Kitchen. Ideal Family Reunion Headquarters: Outside: The front lawn, with south sun and large trees for shade, has spectacular long ocean views and views of Harbor Beach activities and the boats entering the York River.

My family rented this home for the week of my wedding. It was absolutely wonderful - I loved the location (right across the street from Harbor Beach & next door to the York Harbor Inn). The views from the front 4 bedrooms are amazing! All the details of this home are perfect - I loved the fire pit, seating on the front patio, 2 living rooms, huge dining room. The house and grounds are well maintained & the owner was great to work with (very responsive and accommodating to a variety of requests). I can't wait to rent again!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

We rented this house so that we could be together with our grown children for my niece's wedding. This property is terrific, a beautiful setting and spacious! It is furnished with everything you'd need, and it was very clean. The wedding was in Dover, NH and the reception at the Red Barn in South Berwick, Maine (which I'd also recommend for a wedding). The location was perfect, and York Harbor is a really charming area. We had a dinner at the York Harbor Inn almost next door, which was excellent. The owner was very responsive and professional to deal with. All in all, our family loved our all to short stay there and we'd highly recommend it.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This was our first family holiday in the US and what a property and location we chose - just perfect. The house is excellent and very well appointed. Perfect location for trips to Ogunguit (fantastic beach), Kennebunkport, Portsmouth NH and Boston is within reach by train for a day trip. The house is also in a perfect spot for the local amenities - cross the road to York Harbour beach and the York Harbour Inn is just next door!Owner response: We were honored to have a guest family from the UK and look forward to the return of their family and friends.

If your looking for a lasting memory, this is your vacation rental. House, location, amenities, yard, view....you name it, it's perfect! Owner very professional and easy to correspond with. Loved staying in the harbor area away from other busy beaches. Family traveled from four different states. We've rented several times in the York area. I just returned from a long weekend at this wonderful home. I was "hosting" a girls long weekend with wonderful friends from around the country. As a New England native, of course I wanted them to see the Maine coast at it's best. They did. The home is lovely, with authentic details, charm, and location, location, location! The photos are accurate, but can not adequately capture the experience. The contact person, Susan was wonderful, and even had her husband bring over their lobster cooker when she heard we planned a lobster dinner......and sent us to a perfect place, right on the dock, to get the lobsters. The best ever. We drew names to choose rooms, but really there is not a bad one. From coffee on the front patio to walks on the beach, shopping, then happy hour in the comfortable and spacious living room and dinner out, or just outside, then a gathering around the fire-pit, and a long bath in the claw foot tub, we had the perfect day every day. EVERYTHING you need is there: firewood, BBQ, lawn and beach chairs, and a well stocked supply of dishes, glassware and lobster crackers. An most of all, the perfect environment to relax and enjoy your stay. Just wonderful. I hope I have the opportunity to return.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We fell in love with this house. Everything about it, the location (walk to the Inn for dinner or live music), the fire pit, the views and my fave...the butler's pantry and all the elegant authentic fixtures! What a delightful place to be. Maine at it's best. I highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities.
