60 feet high above Harbor Beach for spectacular sunrise, sunset, long ocean views, and close to hear breaking waves and clean ocean smell. Choose the front lawn with fire-pit and chairs for evening storytelling, the Garden Terrace for outside dining, relaxing in the Garden Retreat with wood burning fireplace on those magical foggy days, or a late night beach walk.
First Floor: Light, bright rooms. The south facing 1st floor is perfect for entertaining with oversized Dining Room with large bay window for ocean views. Retire to the Living Room with gas log fireplace, 52" HDTV and outside sitting patio overlooking Harbor Beach,...or the quiet Music/Reading Room with gas log fireplace and large bay window looking across to the Stage Neck rocky point... or the Morning Room for after dinner games. Second Floor: Grand front staircase leads to (4) front bedrooms with ocean views, (2) master suites with in-suite bathrooms and (2) bedrooms served by a front hall bathroom. Family Reunion Headquarters: Book early. Contact the York Harbor Inn for additional accommodations, catering and facilities. The Reading Room is a private club overlooking Harbor Beach and directly across York Street from this property. Contact the Reading Room for limited dates and dinner/dancing arrangements.
Bride's Headquarters: Bride's party will be centrally located for functions at the Reading Room directly across the street, the adjacent York Harbor Inn, or The Stage Neck Inn a 8-minute walk through the oceanfront park and along Harbor Beach. Outdoor weddings or photo shots are available with Town permit across the street in the oceanfront park. Wedding events with a maximum of 24-persons are permitted at Overbank Cottage.
York Harbor Magic: Cliff Walk above the bold Atlantic, family oriented Harbor Beach, the active and picturesque Harbor, and the Fishermen’s Walk along the pristine York River, all with the backdrop of Mt. Agamenticus with mountain trails and lakes, and at night, 4 lighthouses flash for attention.
Sample Schedule: First Day- York Historical Society museums and programs, lantern led Ghostly Tours, Stonewall Kitchens and Pigs Fly Bread, York Beach honky tonk and the Goldenrod, surfing and kite flying on Long Sands Beach, Nubble Lighthouse and Brown’s ice cream, the Wiggle Bridge, and magical full moon kayak tours of the Rachel Carson Preserve.
Second day- Perkins Cove, Marginal Way, fishing and sightseeing boat tours, Ogunquit Beach and floating the river, Floe's hot dogs and the Ogunquit Playhouse.
Third day- Cape Neddick beach as the tide goes out revealing the wonders in tide pools and new sand bars for skimming.
Fourth day- gourmet breakfast at Stonewall Kitchens or enjoy the lobstermen at Rick's. Outlet shopping and golf for the guys.
Fifth day- very early morning for a trip to Mt Washington, part of the Presidential range of the White Mountains. Hike to Greenleaf Cabin and view the Old Man-in-the-mountain or to the summit of Mt. Washington by car, train or foot via Tuckerman's Ravine.
Sixth day- Relax on Harbor Beach. At low tide, raft or Boogie board out the Black Rocks from Pirates Cove.
Seventh day- plan the 2nd week.

I just returned from a long weekend at this wonderful home. I was "hosting" a girls long weekend with wonderful friends from around the country. As a New England native, of course I wanted them to see the Maine coast at it's best. They did. The home is lovely, with authentic details, charm, and location, location, location! The photos are accurate, but can not adequately capture the experience. The contact person, Susan was wonderful, and even had her husband bring over their lobster cooker when she heard we planned a lobster dinner......and sent us to a perfect place, right on the dock, to get the lobsters. The best ever. We drew names to choose rooms, but really there is not a bad one. From coffee on the front patio to walks on the beach, shopping, then happy hour in the comfortable and spacious living room and dinner out, or just outside, then a gathering around the fire-pit, and a long bath in the claw foot tub, we had the perfect day every day. EVERYTHING you need is there: firewood, BBQ, lawn and beach chairs, and a well stocked supply of dishes, glassware and lobster crackers. An most of all, the perfect environment to relax and enjoy your stay. Just wonderful. I hope I have the opportunity to return.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We fell in love with this house. Everything about it, the location (walk to the Inn for dinner or live music), the fire pit, the views and my fave...the butler's pantry and all the elegant authentic fixtures! What a delightful place to be. Maine at it's best. I highly recommend this property.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.
