  We really ejoyed our mini vacation in this lovely condo. The location was as described, walking distance to most of the restaurants and shopping. We brought our bikes, rack downstairs, and also rented a golf cart to venture furthur out. We prepared hordervous in the nicely appointed kitchen daily and enjoyed happy hour and after dinner drinks on the porch overlooking the harbor--what a great place to spend time. We would definately stay at Down Creek again and highly recommend. We enjoyed the Front Porch and Flying Melon for dinner. Went to Dajio's for beer and music. Jet sking at the dock behind Jolly Roger. Beers at sMcNallys, Howards, and Jollys. Taking the ferry from Swan Quarter over from Raleigh, was half the fun. Got sandwiches from Sweet Tooth and Fig tree for the ride back. Missed out on Eduardo's tacos, he was closed:( Beautiful shrimp from Ocracoke Seafood Co. Had a great time, thanks Scott.

  A beautiful, well-decorated, comfortable and clean condo in a very convenient location. The owner gave a great restaurant recommendation, Front Porch, which was so good! Ocracoke has a lot to offer in a small area and this was a great place for home-base.

  Thanks for an amazing place to stay on Ocracoke. The view is superb and location is simply the best. The condo itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The amenities were more than adequate for our stay----and we cooked in several times! We rented a golf cart (located right behind the condo) and only used our vehicle when driving into the park area to the beach------and an early morning stroll across the street to get my espresso fix each morning (yeah)! Great places to eat all over the island! I've recommended this property to others------and my husband simply stated that this was the only place he wanted to stay on return trips to Ocracoke!

  My new wife and I traveled to Ocracoke our first time each. The condo was perfect for our getaway! We mostly enjoyed its great location to virtually everything to see on the island by foot. Early morning coffee and donuts, lunches at the Jolly Roger and Howard's Pub, dinner at Dajio and the awesome Back Porch Restaurant. The only time we needed to the car was to spend hours on the perfect beach about 6 miles out of the village. When we came back it was so nice to have a clean, comfortable, cool (A/C) and relaxing environment to watch the ships come into the lake as the sunset falls behind them. A great location for kids, teens, adults, retirees and honeymooners! The Pantones were really cooperative on relatively short notice and for that we are really grateful. I am lead to believe that they even had a hand in giving us some outstanding weather. Great time, great island, and great condo to see it all!

  If you like the comforts of home and sitting out on the deck relaxing as you watch the boats come in and out of Silver lake, this is the place for you. This condo is very nicely appointed with a well stocked kitchen, even a crock pot, which is nice when you plan to be out and about all day and the last thing you want to do is cook. The unit is very clean and up to date. The owners are friendly and easy to work with and very responsive if you had a question. This was our first stay in this condo and definitely look here first on our next trip to Ocracoke.

  We have visited Ocracoke Island several times over the years, but have never stayed there. We decided to give it a shot an we are sure glad we did. This condo couldn't have been in a better location. It is in the heart of the village. Our car remained parked for most of the week. Everything is within walking distance. The condo was immaculate. It kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful and came supplied with lots of very nice towels. We will always remember the amazing views of the harbor. The owners were very easy to deal with and answered all our questions before we got there. We couldn't have asked for more. We have rented through VRBO many times and once again we were very pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended !!

  Great location in the heart of the island. Convenient to everything but still has a sense of privacy. Beautifully furnished and linens provided. Immaculately kept and well maintained. Owner easy to work with and stays in touch.Our only problem was wishing we had taken a baby gate for the top of the stairs. I have already told friends about this place and hope they don't get in my way the next time we are going to Ocracoke!

  This was a wonderful place to stay, and the owners were great to work with. The condo is beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and incredibly clean. Had everything and more that we needed for an enjoyable and relaxing vacation. Spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch watching the boating activity in the harbor. Perfect location for getting out and walking to nearby restaurants, stocking up at the convenience store and browsing the fun gift shops. My husband and son loved the beach and I enjoyed my bike trips around the island. Our thanks to the Pantones for renting your condo to us. Hope to return next year.
