Daily children's activities at Embassy Suites gives you the option of doing something other than sitting on the beach or at the pool all day. As if that weren't enough, there are 3 waterparks nearby -- Wild Water, Myrtle Waves, and Family Kingdom.
There are nearby grocery options for you to cook and pack picnics for the beach. Also, Wal-Mart is less than a mile away, so don't worry if you forget anything--surely you can get it there! There are many other shopping options as well, including Tanger Outlets.
