Built as a second home, it features many personal touches, i.e., Western art from Cody galleries, mostly custom bedding, an oversized Coleman grill and a riverfront jacuzzi with a CD player. The gourmet kitchen is spacious enough so the vacation chef will not bump into any culinary sidekicks. Two bedrooms and the sleeping suite front the river. The loft/library's private deck and one bedroom face the mountain. This Western retreat rests on 1/3 mile of the North Platte River and is frequented by deer, bugling elk, and wild turkeys. At the Glendo State Park/Marina one can enjoy water sports--boating, waterskiing, fishing, canoeing or just take a splash at the beach. With just a short drive you can visit the Old West's historic Fort Laramie, Register Cliffs, Medicine Bow National Park or be adventurous and hike to the top of Laramie Peak.

The Unique Benefits of this Log Home
I have 1/3 mile on the North Platte River. I love the sunflowers in August and watching the sun rise over the river from my deck. My birder friends recommend bringing binoculars for the wildlife, and my sister and I use the jacuzzi at night while we quietly watch the animals under the full moon.
