We stayed at Cass Mullaney in Feb. 2010 with our 2 adult children, wives, and toddler. It was an amazing visit. We've rented a lot from VRBO and I've never had a more attentive homeowner. Nick took care of every detail. The home itself is terrific and very easy for 3 couples. The location, beautiful, with just a 10 minute walk into charming Playa Del Carmen. Everything worked well, even the BBQ was sparkling clean. There was an abundance of dishes, cookware, supplies, fresh water daily, and the beach in front of the house was uncrowded. We really can't say enough good things about this trip and will happily return some day. If you have a chance to rent Casa Delaney..grab it quickly. You'll have the time of your life.

My husband and I with 2 other couples stayed at Casa Mullaney for a week in December what a wonderful week we had.The house is located just across the street from the beach and ocean. Getting up with a cup of coffee and watching the sun come up from the beach was a perfect way to start my day.It is a easy walk to town which we did daily. The house was big enough so we all felt like we had our on space and the back yard pool was nice for the evenings after our days of adventure to cool off and hang out.I would highly reccomend this house to any one

WOW WOW WOW!!! I have actually been putting off writing my comments because I am at a loss for words on how Casa Mullaney exceeded my expectations!! The home was spacious, beautifully decorated and so clean. The location was perfect...steps away from the most beautiful beach area that I have ever seen and only a short (beautifully scenic) walk to the ferry to cozemel and the playa del carmen downtown shopping and restaurants. I vacationed with five people where we all were together but the home had so many different rooms, porches, dining areas etc that we could all retreat to a different area to have alone time if we so desired. The management company/concierge called often and even arrived in five minutes when I had trouble operating the washer. The airport shuttle was waiting for us the minute we got of the plane and even allowed us to go food shopping to stock the house before bringing us to the house. Pool attendants were there daily ,and never in our way, but kept the pool and grounds perfect. Maid service was so nice and even washed a sink full of dishes from our breakfast that we hadn't gotten to yet. Also, the house had every thing you spend years to make your own house homey including major appliances, bottled water and pool toys (Loved the rafts that I spent hours sleeping on!) I could go on and on about my wonderful experience and encourage all to rent this home and have the experience of a life time!!

Our group of three couples loved our ten days at Casa Mullaney, Jan-Feb 2009. For one couple, this was their first to Playa, for another it was their second, for another it was their third. It was the first time renting a house together for a trip. The house was perfect for us - plenty of space to be together or to have our own quiet time. The open-air entry way is quite unusual! The house is designed well for letting the refreshing breezes in. Staff were friendly and did not get in our way. The home-cooked meal was a VERY nice treat! Yummy! We had our massages out on the screened porch - it was so nice! The location was perfect. We spent much of our time out at the beach, but it was nice to have the pool for the couple of times the beach was very windy. Somehow the front veranda became our morning coffee-read-gather spot. It was so relaxing to have no schedule to rush off to! We didn't cook that much, but used the grill once, and everything in the kitchen worked well. Each day we'd make the nice walk into town, different times on different days. Definately close enough to take in the 5th Ave shopping and Playa restaurants in town, on the beach, and a bit off-the-beaten-path. There was something about the TV we couldn't get to work -- maybe the DVD player? but we didn't try to watch that often. The overhead picture of Casa Mullaney is still the screensaver on my computer. Thanks, Nick and all for a wonderful vacation. (It was fun to finally meet Heather after some years of communication on PlayaInfo). We're agreed we just might have to go again.

I just wanted to take a moment to say how much we enjoyed our time at Casa Mullaney. The house was everything we'd hoped for, the services (transfers, cleaning, cook, and masseuse) were all excellent, and Mike and everyone else at Caribe Sunrise were amazingly helpful and attentive. Thank you so much for helping to make for a great vacation in Playa. As others have commented, the beach is very close and very quiet compared to other parts of Playa. The pool is also in the backyard instead of the front on the road like so many other vacaton rentals we saw. We'd recommend Casa Mullaney and Playa to anyone.

What can we say...WOW!! Our family, 9 adults in total, have just returned form a wonderful 2 week christmas trip to Mexico , made so in large part because of our stay at Casa Mullaney and our business dealings with Nick. The home is lovely, maid service excellent, and the beach....WOW!! We have visited the Mayan Riveria on several occasions, always staying in all inclusives- this trip with our very own house was a great way to do with a large family gathering. We had a wonderful Christmas, ate exceptionally well:) and appreciated the many acts of kindness from Nick. Casa Mullaney has everything you want- a beautiful ocean 30 feet away, quiet privacy, lots of different rooms to hang out in, a large pool in the backyard and wonderful staff in the Playacar Vacations office who helped us with bookings, reservations etc. Diane was exceptional. Taxi service is easily accessible, but we found we walked the 15 minute walk in Playa every day. Grocery stores were excellent. The house had all furnishings and equipment we needed. The van drivers that transported us back and forth from the airport were great- Angel ended up taking all of our family members to the house and we all felt like we knew him:) We arrived in three groupings on different days. This was our first venture in renting a house for vacation and of course we were somewhat apprehensive- what a great experience it was for us. A very special thank you to Nick and everyone for their kindness and support when our 29 year old son had an attack of appendicitis an hour before he was to depart to the Cancun airport. A beautiful, modern hospital was a short 5 minute drive from the house and within hours he was in recovery after an operation. We all had to depart and leave him in a Mexican hospital....but we felt we were leaving him in good hands. Our family would give Nick and Casa Mullaney a 6 star rating:)

We stayed at Casa Mullaney in May of '08 for a week, and it was fantastic. Having one of the bigger pools in the community, great big bbq, and the beach within 30 feet walking was priceless. We'll be back.

What a wonderful vacation we had at Casa Mullaney! This house could not have been more perfect for our vacation with our two boys and parents. Nick was very helpful and did a great job making sure all our questions were answered. The employees that cooked, cleaned and gardened were very friendly and more than willing to help. We did have some communication problems with the management company but nothing that will prevent us from coming back in the future. Thanks Nick!!

We enjoyed a week over Christmas with our five young adult children/spouses. The three bedrooms are very private and the lay out of the house accommodates full-group fun or individual retreat. The large patio/pool area has several places to lose oneself in a good book. The beach is just across the street. The kitchen is fairly well stocked - but could use some new silverware. (There weren't enough forks!) We struggled with too little hot water until we fiddled with the continuous hot water heater system. The house is in a lovely neighborhood within walking distance of town.

Our family of 5 recently stayed at Casa Mullaney for 7 nights. It was our first visit to Mexico and we were a little apprehensive about renting a house & being more on our own than doing the all-inclusive thing at a resort. It was a great experience and one that none of us will ever forget. We did end up renting a car so could drive to other locations rather than take a bus but having the car isn't required. We always felt safe, the maids were very friendly and the management company answered all of our questions. We already miss the birds chirping and the relaxing atomsphere of the house.

Casa Mullaney was a perfect Mexican beach house! Doors everywhere to open up the house and feel as if you were outdoors all the time, The beach is steps away! The villa had a unique design that was very tropical and open. The pool, patio and lush tropical plantings were awesome! If the beach was too windy, you had your own retreat either in the house or poolside. A lot of the homes in the area had pools that were not private at all (literally on the curb)and they were half the size of Mullaney's pool. The walk to town was not bad and populated enough to feel safe, but with one quick call, a cab would be at your door in a few minutes (make sure you are not in a hurry, it is Mexico). We never paid more than $5.00 to go anywhere or to return to the villa. The neighbors were friendly, the locals just as nice. I would thoroughly recommend Casa Mullaney to anyone. It is perfect for families or groups. This was a girls long weekend away and we could not have asked for better. I will bring my family on my next trip which I am looking forward to. One more comment, the drivers that took care of the airport transportation were great. This is a feature that you will certainly appreciate.

We stayed at Casa Mullaney over the 2006 Christmas holidays and had a wonderful time. The Home is unique and incredibly comfortable and relaxing. It is wonderful to be in a quiet, residential, tropical neighborhood but still be only a 15 minute walk from any touristy activity you might want and outstanding restaurants. The maid did an incredible job every day and the pool was perfect to sit around and just relax. I am extremely jealous of Nick for having this amazing place to stay at whenever he chooses. There were 6 of us that travel together and we enjoyed the villa Alot.It is close to the beach and in walking distance of downtown. We would recommend this villa for a laid back atmosphere. Lucky we got out of town when we did because we received 24 in. of snow the night we left.

Our stay at Casa Mullaney was one of the best family vacations we've experienced. All three of our sons are grown and two of their friends joined us, so there were seven total. The house could easily accommodate all of us. We especially enjoyed the proximity of the beach and felt very safe. Playacar is a beautiful neighborhood and close to restaurants, shops and the marina. We used the Mexican chef two nights and that was awesome.....all we did was give the management company the menus we wanted and what time we wanted to eat.....and it was done!!! Thanks,Mr. Nick for sharing your house.....we'll be back!!!!

We had a wonderful time at Casa Mullaney! The owner was a huge help and the onsite management company did assist us a few times in what otherwise would have been a loss cause (imagine trying to order a pizza yourself without knowing how to speak Spanish well). The house was very unique and an experience to stay in. The maid would even leave cool towel sculptures. This is definitely an area/rental house we would consider returning to.

Casa Mullaney was a great family vacation for the 7 of us. We stayed in mid-November and although there was a couple cloudy days the weather was overall very nice. We felt very safe in playacar where the house is located. The walk into town took us about 10-15 minutes or a taxi will take you for $3 US. The beach is nice and literaly 10 yards from the front door. The pool was private and clean. Maid service was great and we had clean linens and towels everyday. We would highly recommmend casa mullaney for a great family vacation at a reasonable price.

We stayed at Casa Mullaney for one week between Thanksgiving and Christmas in 2005 and were amazed by the home and the Playacar development. It is so great to wakeup in the morning and stroll out the front door onto the beach and watch the sunrise over Cozumel. The feel of staying at Casa Mullaney is that of being at home in paradise, a well maintained property with a fantastic pool. The owners have tastefully decorated the home with local Mayan artwork and information about the area. We are looking forward to our next trip and will defiantly stay at Casa Mullaney again.

We stayed the week after Thanksgiving in 2005 can reiterate that the house fulfilled every expectation we had. We sat on the front porch looking over the beach and watched as a few cruise ships passed by. Playacar phase 1 is a beautiful neighborhood of a 100 or so upscale homes and very safe, the entrances are guarded 24/7 which made my wife feel very safe, however we walked through about in town late at night and felt safe also. This was one of our concerns having never been to Playa before and the reason I mention it. The onsite management company arranged for a driver for us one day. We were picked up at 7am and visited the ruins at Coba after which we stopped and visited the beach in Tulum, which by the way we all voted as the most beautiful beach we had ever visited and the driver watched out things on the beach while we walked around. If you have 4 or more people this is a very cost effective and private option, we paid $150US plus tip for 10 hours. The home is well stocked with pool toy, kitchenware and to our surprise a large ice cooler we filled up for our trips to the beach and Coba, nice touch. There is a Sam’s club and a new Wal-mart in town, if you plan on cooking at home or hiring a cook these are great places to stock up. Seeing how the house has a grill and full kitchen we ended up eating at the house more than we expected, never shop on an empty stomach. This was a little long but I wanted to bring up some additional points to questions we had before we went down. We are already planning our next trip and look forward to staying at Casa Mullaney again.

We stayed at Casa Mullaney the week of Thanksgiving, 2005, and the entire family had a great time. The website doesn’t do an accurate job showing just how nice, big, and architecturally interesting the house actually is. The bedrooms are spacious and very private. You can walk out the door and be on the beach 30 seconds later, or just spend time by the pool. We did both, a couple of times per day. The on-site property management company was accessible and efficient. I found the owner of the house a pleasure to deal with, both very honest and trustworthy. We’ll go back just as soon as everyone’s schedules will allow.

We had a great two weeks in Casa Mullaney. I always remember a line from a Hercule Poirot story in which a character wakes up each morning and says: "Another perfect day in Paradise." That was how we felt! The only concession we made to acting stuffy like we do at home was watching TV at night on a few occasions that we were not doing something else. The rest of the time we played, swam, ate, read and shopped. We were the first ones to use the pool which had just been resurfaced so it was sometimes a difficult choice to decide if we should even go across the street to the beautiful Caribbean. Since our last visit to Playa there were some nice new restaurants in town and a new kitchen stove was installed the morning we arrived. The nice part about the house is not only that it is an excellent structure with all the amenities but it is really near to everything. Senor Mullaney, thank you for a great house that made us feel like we really belonged. We will be happy to go back!
