  We had three small families for our stay at the Grey Barn . The house was very spacious with plenty of room for all of us. We felt comfortable with bringing three small children. The house was very clean, neat, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the big dining table with room for us all. We had a wonderful time. If the weather had been nicer, we would have spent more time outside in their beautiful BBQ area. We definitely recommend this property!!

  The Grey Barn is everything it promises to be, and was the perfect place for our family to gather for our daughter's wedding at Cornell. The open floor plan more than accommodated the 30+ people we entertained for a pre-wedding barbeque. (It rained that evening, and everyone HAD to be inside.) The house features a kitchen that is fully stocked with cooking and dining utensils. There is a large dining area and comfortable furniture arranged in inviting conversation circles in the great room. The owners have furnished this house with many special touches to make visitors feel completely at home; live plants, interesting artwork, family board games, radio, TV, etc. The bedrooms are large and very comfortable. Beautiful linens, comforters, pillows, and thick, soft towels are furnished. The owners are very nice and were available at all hours. The house was clean and beds were freshly made when we arrived. The landscaping is attractive and well maintained. The property is just a few minutes outside of Ithaca in a quiet, private rural area; about a 15 minute drive to The Commons downtown, or Cornell University campus. There are shopping malls, a movie theater complex and restaurants just minutes away. We would definitely rent this house again... and would stay longer next time!

  We rented The Grey Barn with my extended family to attend a family wedding in Ithaca. It was a perfect house for our needs! We held an 80th birthday party at the house for my mother with all our relatives that were staying in the area to attend the wedding. The large open space is wonderful for this type of event. There are plenty of areas for people to gather including the quaint outdoor space. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The house is bright, tastefully decorated and immaculate. The large oak dining table is the centerpiece of the house and just invites the family to spend time sitting around it and talking. The beds were comfortable and it was such a treat not to have to cart any sheets or towels since they were provided in abundance! I would highly recommend this property!

  We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful house. It is light and airy, full of artwork and fun things to look at. There are many cozy places to curl up with a book or visit as a group. The beds are very comfortable too. We sat outside for dinner one night. There were 5 of us. We also relaxed around the pond and went for many long walks down the road. The house was clean, well maintained and we had everything we needed for cooking meals. It was easy to get to wineries and into Ithaca. We also did a trip to the local grocery store. We would all love to stay again.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  9 friends and I stayed at the Grey Barn while we were in Ithaca for a wedding. Overall, we had a great experience. The space is large, comfortable and well-maintained. The one shower was a little bit of a challenge for a group of 10 that had to get ready for a wedding, but we managed with just a little bit of coordination. I would definitely rent the Grey Barn again.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children.

  The Grey Barn is a wonderful place to spend time with friends and family while in the Ithaca area. We rented for Graduation Week and it was perfect as far as location and accommodations. it is so much more relaxing than staying at a hotel and running around trying to find places to dine at. We also used a Cornell Hotel Adminisration student as our " Resident Chef " . The place is spotless and well kept and owners Sarah and Keith could not have been more helpful.

  A small group of friends stayed at the Grey Barn when they were in town for our wedding and they couldn't stop talking about how great it was. A large common area and kitchen provides the perfect atmosphere and setting for large group dinners and socializing! Tastefully decorated with a clean, open feeling. Perfect for a small group who wants to interact and socialize. Also very convenient location just outside of Ithaca! The whole process was easy and wonderful! Thanks Grey Barn!

  Since several of us had spent some time in the Ithaca area in the past, we thought this would be a great location to come back to and celebrate a bachelorette weekend. The house was charming and we all enjoyed the space, big enough to accomodate 8 of us but cozy too. We spent Saturday at the wineries and had a catered dinner at the house afterwards. It was relaxing and fun. The house was well stocked, and that made it easier. I would certainly recommend the Grey Barn!

  The Grey Barn was perfect for our children and grandchildren to have their own spaces and then come together for games and meals. Sarah truly has thought of the little details from a great kitchen to beautiful artwork in each room. We loved being able to set up games/puzzles and return to them due to several tables and sitting areas. The location is so close to Ithaca but away from the busy areas. The Grey Barn is a perfect "home away from home" especially for several couples or extended family. We really enjoyed being able to cook meals in the well equipped kitchen and the beautiful wood dining table was perfect for gathering everyone together. We would love to return next year!

  We met our extended family for a weekend at the Grey Barn, and it was a good fit for our needs; 6 adults and 3 small children. The main space is very large and great for hanging out while watching the kids. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the house nicely maintained. We would stay here again..

Occupancy limits for the house have been established with consideration given to the number of bathrooms and available parking. Failure to honor this requirement may, at the owners’ election, result in the termination of this rental contract without refund and with the loss of security deposit.   8.     SMOKING POLICY. The property is a NO SMOKING vacation rental. Smoking is not permitted in the house or on the premises at any time for any reason. If you must cancel your confirmed reservation regardless of reason (illness, death, economic factors, weather, etc.) and the home is not re-rented for the cancelled period, YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR ADVANCE RENTAL PAYMENT except security/damage/cleaning deposit and taxes. If the unit is re-rented, all prepaid money will be refunded.   10.  REFUNDS. There will be no refunds for states of emergency, inclement weather, or equipment failure. The home is equipped for basic housekeeping including sheets and towels.
