This is our relax and feel good place. After spending about 2 minutes in this cabin we decided it should be ours. Built in 2005 it's barely broken in due to the fact that reality gets in the way of our travel plans. We have decided to share in this feel good experience.
We have almost 2,000 square feet of heated/air conditioned log cabin coziness. 3 separate bedrooms, an open floor plan with kitchen, family room and dining with a spectacular mountain view. In the distance you will see Chimney Rock. The whole upstairs is a master suite and loft area, where you can enjoy the view through panoramic windows-and at night the moon and the stars. The master bath has a Jacuzzi tub-very nice.
The walkout basement is a bar/TV area with walkout doors to a patio. Hang in the hammock and enjoy with a cool drink.
Laurel Lakes is 5 minutes from Fairfield Mountains and the Rumbling Bald Resort. Rent a boat on Lake Lure, play on one of the two 18 hole golf courses, play mini-golf or have a meal at one of the many restaurants.
We also enjoy excursions to Asheville, Hendersonville, Chimney Rock, Rutherfordton etc. My personal favorite is to barbeque, enjoy the sunset, enjoy some wine and read a good book.
Our 5 year old daughter loves the cabin. She has a swing under the deck and she loves running around the property. Her favorite place is the Childrens Museum in Rutherfordton.
Unfortunately we have decided to sell. Should you decide to buy this fantastic place we will pay back any rent at closing. It's listed with Mr. Lake Lure-Greg Balk.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Lure
The lifestyle we lead when we are in our cabin is the opposite to our Florida one. At home we meet friends and neighbors almost daily. In the mountains we love the tranquility. Being able to spend lots of time outside and just enjoying Mother Nature is fantastic.
The Unique Benefits at this Log Home
We enjoy the peace, the great views and the privacy. Around the corner is Fairfield Mountains and Rumbling Bald Resort should we want to get active. We make lots of excursions and really enjoy the climb up to Chimney Rock. On a clear day we can see our red roof from up there.

My wife Sarah, daughter Ann and I live in Tampa, Florida. We enjoy the easy, laid back Florida lifestyle. Life does get busy though with an overactive 5 year old and a very social neighborhood. We love getting up to our cabin and enjoy the nature that we can't find in Florida. The foliage is breathtaking.
