Smartly decorated and well appointed, located 3 houses back from ocean. Our home is in the center of a 3 mile stretch of private beach. Beach is quiet and clean. No public access for 1 1/2 miles in either direction of house. Charming beach town is 1 1/2 miles south. Beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, horseshoes, ping-pong table, badminton, boogey boards, and a shed full of recreational equipment. There is a community tennis court at the end of the street, and many golf courses in the immediate area. Our house is ideal for 2 families. Lots to do in this Delaware / Maryland beach area.

We are city folk from Washington, DC and we love to get away to the beach. As a dentist and an interior designer / antiques dealer, we have been going to the beach all our lives. This quiet beach of our Bethany Dunes community is rare. We build sandcastles, play horseshoes, volleyball, Frisbee, and throw the football on the wide open beach. Everybody swims, surfs, and reads to their hearts' content.

Bethany Beach has the best beach! It is quiet and clean, with close proximity to good restaurants and plenty of outdoor recreational opportunity. The community tennis courts allow us to play often, which we like. For the shoppers, Rehoboth, DE is a great outlet center. Lots of golf courses in the area as well.

Bethany Beach is rated as one of the cleanest beaches on the Atlantic coast. Our community's private beach is along a 3 mile stretch of rare quiet, uncrowded shoreline. A real treat for the beach lover!

We spent a wonderful week in this well equiped home in July 2011. The house was as advertised and was very comfortable for our group of 10. The neighborhood was well maintained and quiet as you would expect in a gated community. The beach was wide, clean, open, private.....spectacular. We walked miles everyday from the bridge to Bethany Beach (public) and were amazed by the difference between our private gated location and the masses at the public beaches. Needless to say...we are now spoiled and our vacation destination standards are at a new high. Everything you need for a week of summer fun is in the shed and the outdoor ping pong table provides hours of fun. Also...we biked the area for hours and the roads were flat and safe. We also enjoyed a relaxing HAPPY HOUR at the beach every night while the kids cooled down in the house. As for the town, every thing you need is a short ride away. Harris Teeter grocery store (highly recommended) is less than a 5 minute drive ant the Salt Pond golf course was a fun option when we needed a break from the beach. We have been vacationing LBI and OBX for the past 15 years and this...by far....was our best find yet. Thank you for letting us rent your home.

What a wonderful home to welcome our family of 55+ to 3 months. The home gave us moments of quiet in many reading nooks and hours of story telling and laughter. The beach was private and called us to sit and stare or splash in the waves for hours. The kitchen was well stocked and engaged my son-in law and son to cook many delicious meals. As an artist it was easy to find compelling compositions to place on a canvas. The best of all was the showers suites and screened porch. One thing I did not expect was the overwhelming friendliness of all the neighbors. The pictures posted on the internet do not capture this lovely cheery home away from home. It was difficult to leave. Our weather was hot but great for the beach!!! Susan was personal, prompt and professional in all her interactions. I highly recommend this property.

Four generations of our family stayed at this beautiful and relaxing home in July 2010. It was even better than described- the outdoor showers were roomy and well designed, the kitchen was unbelievably stocked with all kinds of cooking and serving equipment, the ice maker was definitely put to use and the deck and screened porch were perfect for relaxing. It was reassuring to know that the flat screen, surround sound and extensive film library were there, but to be honest we didn't even use them as we had perfect weather and spent most of the time on the beautiful beach or totally relaxing on the deck. If there are any workaholics out there (shame on you while you're on vacation), the high speed wireless internet worked perfectly. The younger generation had no problems updating their Facebook pages. Susan, the owner, was wonderful to work with. Very responsive, professional, and welcoming. For a terrific vacation in a picture perfect location that will melt away your stress, I highly recommend this beautiful cottage.
