Start a family tradition in this 12th floor, 1,300 square foot, luxurious beachfront penthouse condominium. The Tommy Bahama décor is nice enough to be called a “penthouse”, but not so stuffy that you won’t feel right at home. Island Royale is located one block from downtown Gulf Shores making it easy walking to all it has to offer, including the Hangout, Bahama Bob’s and the Pink Pony. Unlike other condo complexes, Island Royale is newer but smaller, and helps you escape from the crowds that populate other parts of the beach.
Begin each morning with a cup of coffee on a 350 square foot deck watching the sunrise over one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. Hunt for shells at low tide. Spend the daylight hours relaxing on the beach, playing with the kids, shopping at the Tangers Outlet Mall, and enjoying world-class golf at the Peninsula or Kiva Dunes golf courses. Watch the sunset from your balcony and look for the “green flash” as the sun dips below the horizon. Spend your evenings going out to any of the area’s fine restaurants (Cozmo’s, LuLu’s, Zeke’s Landing), cooking "in" using our gourmet kitchen and dining room seating for eight, or grilling in Island Royale’s picnic area. We’re not a large rental company. This is our beach home and we’ve provided everything that we enjoy to make it a comfortable stay for you and your friends or family.

Why the Owner Chose Island Royale
We started visiting my retired father in Gulf Shores in 1990. We grew to love it for the time we were able to spend as a family in absolutely wonderful surroundings. Having moved around the country quite a bit, our kids think of Gulf Shores as our real home, even though we only get to visit a few times a year.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Nothing and everything to do at the same time. If we want to just relax, there's no better place than the beach and our deck. If we want something to do, you can't beat the golf courses and the night life.
A great bar right on the beach featuring some of the South's best bands and seafood.
The best cheeseburger in Alabama at this bar right on the beach. WARNING: Never drink more than one Bahama Bob's cocktail!
The longest pier in the south and home to some great pier fishing for mackerel and blues....or just a lovely walk to watch the sun set over Gulf Shores.
LuLu is Jimmy Buffet's sister and, as you would expect, it's the home to great southern cooking and some of the best music around. A great atmosphere for the whole family with play areas for the kids.
No visit to this part of the world is complete without a visit to the infamous Florabama. Taylor Hicks of American Idol fame got his start right here. BEWARE: It's not very pretty and can get rowdy late at night.

Jack and Jan Haedicke are the owners (along with our grown kids!) We live in Eden Prairie, MN and have been coming to Gulf Shores for almost 20 years. Jan is an X-Ray Technician and Jack owns his own Cost Accounting business.

Beautiful condo and a great owner to do business with. The view of the fireworks from our balcony was magnificent! We really enjoyed our stay at your condo and Jack is great to rent from. I highly recommend this condo if you are needing a larger condo with a great view. Covered parking was a huge plus in the heat and easy access to the ocean.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We just returned from a wonderful, restful New Year's in this lovely condo! We had plenty of space for our 6 year old, 3 year old, and 6 month old, along with all the new Christmas toys they "had" to bring. Though it was a little too chilly to play in the water, we enjoyed watching the waves from our huge balcony, watching the football games on the big flat screen tv, and just hanging out in the comfortable living room. We also really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the owners in the little details like coffee filters in the cabinet, something we have never found in any other condo we've ever rented and are always wishing we had when we wake up groggy the first morning. The owners are a pleasure to work with, and we hope to stay here again very soon!

In spite of tar balls on the day we arrived, we had a great time. Clean up crews worked everyday to keep the beach clean. No oil smell; the water cleared up and people were back in after a couple of days, but you could still walk the beach everyday. And the pool was available. Condo was beatifully decorated; very quiet and very roomy. The walk to Bahama Bob's is great. Don't cancel a reservation. This is a good time to go to Gulf Shores and they need our revenue. The restaurants have no waiting!! A great time was had by all!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

The Sweet Home Alabama Condo and vacation in Gulf Shores was awesome from the start. Everything we needed to know was on the website Mr. Haedicke provided. The Condo itself was spotless and the decor and condition were top notch! We had a front row to the Gulf and the location in general was fantastic, not the usual crowded beach area. We loved the Condo-Location-Ammenities and overall experience at this Condo in the Island Royale Complex. We will be staying there again! This is the best place to stay in Gulf Shores!

This was exactly what we needed! Our vacation plans changed at the last minute and we rented your condo as a place to get away from it all.
