I absolutely loved this cozy cottage. Very clean and well-kept. (inside and out) Alot more room than I thought there would be. Great location! I only wish I was there during the summer so I could go swimming, nice dock and 'little' beach area. The sunsets were awesome, took alot of pictures. The owner was very nice and informative. I hope to come back next year!!!!

This cottage was more beautiful than the pictures we saw of it. The lake was so close and it was nice to sit out by the water and enjoy the sunrise and sunsets. We will definately recommend this cottage to our friends and family, as we were visitng the area to say good-bye to grandpa. This will be a great place to visit to remember him. Our dog enjoyed the stay as well and this is a great place for pet owners. Check out the Salmon River Falls they are breathtaking.

The listing was exectly like a location. House is clean, nice and was warm at our arrival. Property owner was very nice and helpful with all questions about our stay. View is exelent. This property is good for many events and getaways. I would highly recommended this house for stay. I'll defenetly will return next year to same house.

Had an excellent time, cabin was clean and neat as usual , The only down fall was the gas grill needs to be rebuilt with some new burners, but we made it through.

The cottage was great,it had everything we needed.It was close to the Salmon River,where we had a successful chartered fishing trip.We enjoyed fishing from the dock and the large yard and fire pit.There was also a great bar/restaurant,T.C. Brewster's,within about a 5 minute drive.

My friends and I (mid-30s) have gone to this location in Sandy Creek for 3 years now and plan on returning. It's super quiet and the sunsets are amazing.

A Perfect Place For a Family Celebration.

The cottage looked exactly as advertised. The place was clean and the lake views were wonderful.My mom celebrated her 94th birthday here and this was a perfect setting for a family reunion. We took advantage of the fire pit and had 2 memorable bonfires. Mom stayed outside until the last log was burned. We are already talking about next year's stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway and found it very easy to relax and enjoy the comforts of the cabin as well as the outdoors! Loved the lake, great sunsets and went to the beach 2 miles away that had great waves! The cabin offered everything we needed, great appliances, comfy sitting areas and even good family movies! We also enjoyed the restaurant Brewsters, ended up there 3 times, I think, great staff and incredibly affordable meals - great fish, burgers (even an Elk burger) and full bar!

Our family had an amazing vacation. The entire experience was great...from making reservations and getting all our questions answered to arriving to a very clean cottage that was well represented in the ad. It was very windy during our stay and we greatly appreciated the vinyl slides on the dock. They kept our boat safe. Our kids (ages 8,11,17) enjoyed playing in the surf along the dunes and fishing off the dock. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to play or fish on the water and enjoy beautiful sunsets. We look forward to our next visit.

The house was run-down, the only air conditioner was in the one bedroom and when it was running, the whole room smelled like mold and mildew. It was in the middle of nowhere, with nothing to do but fish. The water looked too sludgy to swim in.

Owner response:It's a fishing cottage! Most people come to our cottage to fish and relax ~ that's why it's "in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do"! Exactly! Wow. Anyway, the rag in the hole was from a very bad storm we had right before you checked in and because we didn't want to disturb your vacation, we corrected it after you left. The air conditioner will be replaced with a built-in one in the living room. Our cottage is not "run down", we replaced all the carpeting, the bathroom, the kitchen and painted all the rooms. We have a new flat screen TV and loads of games and movies too. The water is beautiful and enjoyable to swim in, sorry it wasn't up to your standards of living.

The listing description and photos accurately describe this property. My family had a very enjoyable stay. We were able to canoe, kayak and fish to our heart's content. The location of the cottage is perfect - it is private and secluded yet it is close to shops and stores. The property seemed to be well maintained, but it was not as clean as it could have been. We would recommend Brewster's Restaurant and the River House Restaurant in Pulaski. I would most definitely recommend this property to friends or family. We want to rent this property again.

We stayed a week at the Lake House (late July thru early August. It was clean, well maintained & we found it so relaxing. John enjoyed the long dock & fishing while sitting on the bench. Boats were fishing right off the dock (probably after seeing the variety being caught) We used the fire pit and ate several meals on the rear deck. The gas grill was larger that ours and now John wants one! We ate haddock at Brewsters on the recommendation of the owner and were not disappointed! Aggie loved the wicker, wall art and reading (especially in the sun room) We would highly recommend this property if you are looking for peace & quiet.

We spent 5 days at the cottage -- definitely not long enough. We have stayed in a couple other VRBOs and this one was by far the best for the money. Owners are very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are more spacious than the picture suggests. Loved the sun porch and back deck. Sunsets on the lake are spectacular. Great swimming as well. Great for a couple looking for a getaway or a small family with young children. We are thinking about rebooking for next year.

North Sandy Pond Lake Cottage

We enjoyed our stay immensely, the cottage was beautiful and clean and full of charm. You can’t beat the view of the lake as well as the beautifully landscaped grounds. Our family had great time on that cute cottage and the dock! Definitely more than we expected. The cottage is much better and a lot more than showed on the picture. It is clean and has everthing we needed. The private dock is a plus plus for my dad! Best fishing place for him because he does not want to stay on the boat even a minute. I definitely will recommend to my friends and will go back again.

Adorable Private Cottage on Lake

Our family enjoyed a quiet week on North Sandy Pond in this 2 bdrm cottage. The best part of this property is outside! The backyard is very private and the lot is huge with a private dock which is great for fishing, swimming or boating and fire pit for nighttime camp-fires. The view is amazing! Small private beach area is great for swimming and getting in and out of kayaks, row boats, etc.

My friends and I rented the cottage for a week of fishing. We didn't spend much time at all in the cottage but when we did it had everything we needed. Everything was clean and neat and it was the perfect space for the three of us. We thought the cottage was so nice, we we're sorry we didn't spend more time there. If there weren't so many fish biting we would have enjoyed it more. We couldn't have asked for a better week of R&R. We will be back!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our all too brief stay at this beautiful and wonderfully tranquil location on Sandy Pond. In our opinion it had everything - golf, fishing, swimming, boating, nature walks and the most amazing sunsets on the planet. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. We have rented this cottage twice and we will be back! VERY clean! Has everything you need and this is the perfect location. Took our canoe and paddled over to the most beautiful beach on lake ontario--right across from the cottage! This beach is the highlight for us. ALL sand--great swimming without the salt and jellyfish. Perfect! Fishing is great about thirty yards out from the dock. The rowboat is great for this--caught a variety of fish! Really enjoyed our stay:)

A Relaxing Retreat

If you are looking for immaculately clean accommodations, incredible sunsets, and the tranquil sounds of nature, this cabin is for you. From the moment you enter, you will immediately find yourself at ease. We spent our weekend watching the mama ducks with their broods while picnicing at the water's edge. We enjoyed cocktails on the deck while testing our barbecuing skills on the gas grill. Evenings were spent watching DVDs chosen from the video library, reading, or simply enjoying the sounds of silence. Coming from the city, it was a welcome respite. We would highly recommend this vacation rental for anyone looking for the peace and tranquility that escapes them in daily life. As for us, we're not waiting until next year to come back; we've already booked dates for this September!

Great Location For Both Sandy Pond & Lake Ontario

We spent a week at this cottage and what a great location. This was our 2nd time here for our spring fishing on Lake Ontario and Sandy Pond and we did great. A total of 15 brown trout was caught on the big lake and some walleye on the pond. Despite the low water in the pond we were still able to get out on Lake Ontario and had some great fishing. The cottage is great, all the amenities you need, a beautiful deck looking over the pond and a great dock to tie up your boat. This is truly a great location, if it gets too rough on the big lake you can fish the pond for walleye, northerns and bass. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone fishing the eastern shore of Lake Ontario and Sandy Pond.

This cottage was wonderful. Very close to the water with beautiful sunsets. Quiet and relaxing and plenty of stuff to do. The cozy cottage accomodated my family perfect. We have two small children and they loved the cottage. There is a very large picture window that you can enjoy the sunrise, sunsets and boats during the day while eating a meal. There is a very relaxing sunroom that has a great breeze coming through it. Excellent for fishing off of the dock. The town is right around the corner (15 min away). You won't be dissappointed with this one. We will certainly come back again. We just loved it.

Ok pictures do not tell everything. I think that cottage is much nicer in person. It was very peaceful & relaxing.

The new appliances are a great feature. We recently put a new floor in the bathroom too so that is upgraded as well.
