A comfy, attractive, three bedroom home on shore of Lake Superior. This home has an awesome view of Lake Superior. The shoreline is easily accessible with a natural fire pit for bonfires. Rental canoes or kayaks can be paddled along the shore of Lake Superior or on many nearby inland smaller lakes. Day trips into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area are easily available off the nearby Caribou Trail. There are many nearby hiking trails as well. It is also perfect for relaxation - watching the waves crash up on the shore.
Two bedrooms and one bath are on the main floor. One bedroom and bath are on the lower floor. It is located 2.7 miles north of the Lutsen Ski Hill; 15 miles south of Grand Marais. It is four and a half hours north of Minneapolis/St. Paul. One and a half hours north of Duluth.

Absolutely awesome place. Owners and their system is executed flawlessly, and the place feels like what a cabin should feel like yet with all of the needed amenities for the perfect north shore getaway. INCREDIBLE view!!! Will definitely want to stay here again as our kids absolutely loved it as well. Perfect access to both Lutsen, tofte and Grand marais with plenty of small convenience stores, liquor stores etc all within a few miles. This place oozes relaxation!

My family of 5 stayed in this perfect Lake Superior Vacation Home. The pictures absolutely do not do this home justice. It was clean, comfortable, and had FULLY stocked kitchen with everything you could need! The open floor plan with the wood burning fireplace in the center of the home created a peaceful relaxing atmosphere. The front of the cabin has huge windows overlooking the lake and the cabin is so close that when laying on the couch it feels like you could be in the middle of the lake! Wonderful! We went up the first weekend in January. You are SO close to the Lutsen Ski Resort and MANY hiking trails. We hiked Oberg Mountain. Highly Recommend it. This cabin would be perfect fo your next family vacation. Spring, Summer, Winter, or Fall. Looking forward to coming back. Thanks Palmquists!

wow... the pictures do not do this home justice... it was perfect .. relaxing.. clean... beautiful setting... each morning i went out to the rocks in my PJs enjoyed my coffee .. and the waves... had a wonderful time... hearing the sound and watching the waves crash into the shoreline ... peaceful... would stay here again...

"Very cabinee" were my husband words when he walked into "Palmquist Haus" This is the place for the perfect Up North vacation, Close to Superior National Gulf, the Lutsen Gondola and Alpine slide as well as Grand Marais and the Gunflint trail and most importantly right on Lake Superior. The kitchen was well equipped and very clean. The huge supply of firewood was a welcome surprise (no need to buy it by the bag at the Holiday station). The deck, the rocky shore and the lakeside campfire added to the fun. We loved the seclusion as well and the forest of trees between the building and Hwy 61 that eliminated any automobile noise. The plan for everyone to do their own cleaning and laundry works beautifully. The place was immaculate, better then many places that charge large cleaning fees.
