THIS PROPERTY HAS BEEN RENTED THRU LABOR DAY 2011. As renters flock to the latest un-Hampton in Montauk, you can be 1/2 hour closer at this private and secluded East Hampton/Three Mile Harbor getaway. The house is very close to Cedar Point where P. Diddy paid millions for the privacy of his summer retreat. And the best part is that you can launch your own kayak, canoe, or other water adventure vehicle from the same street, less than 1/2 mile from the house.
The house is fully equipped with towels, linens, cookware, and all the essentials to make your vacation fun, relaxing, and enjoyable. The house is bright and airy with lots of windows, towering ceilings, and a fireplace in the living room. Cool off those hot summer days in the pool, on the wrap-around deck, or a quick splash in the outdoor shower. New appliances include a french door refrigerator with ice dispenser.
The master wing has a large walk-in closet, Jacuzzi, his and her vanity, separate shower, and a private door to the pool area. Two guest bedrooms (one with private access to the pool) in the guest wing share a bath. Cable tv and internet access in all bedrooms.
The finished basement provides additional living space featuring a pool table that can be converted to a ping pong table, downstairs living room, full bathroom, two additional rooms, gym and laundry room.

Year Purchased: 2004
We've paid a lot of detail to the renovation and furnishing of this vacation home, which we use on the weekends primarily. Our full-time residence is in Manhattan and we're just beginning to enjoy the use of this house. We have another property in Sag Harbor and we always rent out the guest bedrooms in that house. Each year we keep adding something new to the house. Who knows what will be in store for you when you arrive!
Why the Owner Chose East Hampton
This is one of the most beautiful areas in the world, in my opinion. East Hampton and Three Mile Harbor is a first class sailing community because of it's unique geography, and as a result, the community attracts some of the most interesting people in the world.
The Unique Benefits of this House
You can't live in the area and not take up sailing. The community offers sailing lessons and one season I took those lessons. As luck would have it, the week I had my lessons we had 3 days of virtually no wind, and the last 2 days of small craft advisory warnings! Talk about trial by fire!
