My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at Honey Bear for our honeymoon over Christmas, and it was absolutely perfect. The cabin is situated relatively high on the mountain, which provided for seclusion, but the cabin's location in relation to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge was incomparable - (the drive up the mountain was one of my favorite parts, and naturally, my wife's least favorite.) Everything was as described, and it was abundantly clear that Angie takes pride in her cabins. Speaking of, Angie went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. She promptly responded to every email or phone call - mind you, this was over the Christmas holidays, during which I am sure many owners are less attentive to their guests. The views were breathtaking, especially from the hot tub on those cold December evenings. Coming from Louisiana, we were praying for snow, and surrealistically, snow fell on Christmas morning. Although my wife and I are natural homebodies, we dreaded the thought of leaving, and made a commitment to relive the experience every few years. When we do, we know exactly who we will be calling to reserve a cabin - Angie. Sidenote: My wife and I found a little pub, right off of the Parkway in the heart of Gatlinburg, called Sherlock Holmes'. Despite the thousands of tourists during Gatlinburg's busiest season, there were never more than 10 people in the pub, likely because it is tucked in the back of one of the small courtyards. It was a great atmosphere to have a few drinks and relax, so I suggest stopping in. Thank you for the irreplaceable memories, Angie!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We recently stayed in this cabin and really enjoyed it! Our kids loved the game room! My two year old kept saying "it's my chuckee cheese"!! So cute!! The cabin was clean and comfortable and easy to find. We were even blessed with a little snow the second morning of our stay!! Thanks for sharing your cabin Angie!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My husband and I enjoyed a child free romantic getaway 11/15-11/18. The cabin was remarkable. I loved the winding roads leading up to it and how secluded it is. Made it even more fun that we had a hard time finding even WITH the GPS. Very serene and tranquil mornings out on the deck drinking coffee were quite enjoyable. Very cool evenings made the Hot tub a wonderful experience. (one night down to 33 degrees, it never gets that cold where we live on the Augusta GA/ North Augusta SC border) Some friends live 45 min away from the cabin and came to stay with us one night. The cabin is the PERFECT location between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, making either town ideal for the day trips. The hiking at Laurel falls was extraordinary, the views at Cades Cove were breathtaking, the shopping at the outlets made perfect timing for Christmas (and I LOVE Tanger outlets!) I highly recommend the Smoky Mountain Opry, the Christmas show was spectacular! We probably gained 10lbs from all the delicious foods and restaurants. Definitely recommend the Apple Barn! We loved the game room and plan on booking a return trip for a long weekend when our kids are out of school in Jan or Feb. I highly recommend this Cabin, it was a truly wonderful trip and is now part of a lifetime of memories we will have. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay there! Hope to book again at the first of the year!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I went to Gatlinburg just for a weekend getaway for our 13th wedding anniversary. However, the kids managed to talk us into taking them with us. After I got there, I was very glad that I did. My kids basically lived in the game room during the time we were actually in the cabin. My husband and I had a Ms. Pacman tournament and needless to say... I left being the champion. We both loved the Skee-ball machine too..The atmosphere was beautiful and cozy. I will definitely make Angie Burch my contact for every time we decide to go to the Smokies! She was awesome and communication was too!! The price is cheaper than other cabin rentals and the cabin was much nicer from my experience staying at others. I would highly recommend renting from the Burch's!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Perfect for two or a small family of four. Located quite a bit up the mountainous roadway, but very enjoyable. The cabin had eveything we needed; even raccoons and a Bear that knocked over the trash cans. We all enjoyed the Loft full of games... Who doesn't like Skeeball? But the view from the 8 person Hot tub was very scenic. Thanks for your assistance with your cabin. I'm sure we will rent from you again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our family of four stayed in Oct of 2010 and had a wonderful time. We have two boys, 9 and 6 who enjoyed the games very much. Gameroom a little cramped when we were all playing, but it was fun. They also enjoyed the hot tub in the cool night air. The cabin was really cute and we ended up being thankful we had a washer and dryer (stackable) to do some clothes in. There is a cabin next door and their porch faces the back porch of this one, so some sort of shade or something would've been nice. All in all a great experience and the owner was really nice. As far as the area, we loved Gatlinburg, but Pigeon Forge is much like a picturesque Branson. We actually made a last minute decision to run over to Asheville, NC on our first full day there to visit the Biltmore, and we were really glad that we did. Even the boys enjoyed themselves although the house tour got a bit long for them. It was beautiful, especially in the fall, and I would definitely go back to both places!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This was our first visit to the Smokies, and this cabin caught my eye due to the great gaming room on the 2nd floor. My kids LOVED the skeet ball game and my husband and I also enjoyed the pool table. the cabin has a great view of the valley and is away from all the bustle of Pigeon Forge. Great location though in that it's in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! Would definately stay again. Very clean and the owner was very hospitable!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our stay in this cabin was wonderful. My kids begged to come back to the cabin to play more games every night. The owners were right there with help whenever we needed anything. We will definately choose this cabin again the next time we go back to the area. We even got a visit from a black bear on our last nigh there.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The location was excellent as it was close to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg while still being tucked away from the crowds. We had lots of fun with the gameroom and also enjoyed the hot tub with the nice views from the deck. Would definitely recommend this cabin to any family that had a couple of kids. The owner of the cabin was also very friendly and helpful.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
