What a great weekend! We arrived on Friday afternoon with fresh flowers on the counter welcoming us for the weekend. My husband and I came with two of our friends and we all brought our dogs. What a friendly community, people are always out walking and random dogs are out wandering around. The place is extremely quiet so if you are looking for hustle and bustle this is not the place. We slept longer than we ever have because it was so serene. The pool was great. We spent a lot of time just hanging out and playing games. There was two lounge chairs with an umbrella, a nice covered patio with table and chairs. Plenty of seating available. It is a short drive to St. Michaels' that took about 10 minutes. The cottage is like the pictures and very quaint. The owners were great to deal with and everything went smooth. We will be back and we have recommended the place to many friends.

it is hard to say what we enjoyed the most: the fenced yard for the dog and the friends he made? the fenced pool and the friends we made? People are amazing down there. The house is great with smart layouts and a beach atmosphere to it. Neavitt (situated off the "Almost Neavitt" road) is a peacefully little town, we came back relaxed and rested with sunny memories of cute marinas and trails. we are going back soon! My girlfriends and I had a wonderful stay in Neavitt Cottage! We loved the location and enjoyed biking and kayaking, as well as trips to St. Michael's and Tilghman Island for lunch and window shopping. The cottage was just as described, with the right amenities particularly in the kitchen for our "resident chef"! We especially enjoyed the front porch where we could relax and watch a few boats in the inlet across the street. We also enjoyed access to the pool! The property was clean and well maintained and the owner was very helpful to us. I would recommend this property to friends and family. We are hoping to return for another vacation. Thanks for renting your place! Suzanne

This cottage is located in a step back in time community where everyone waves and speaks as they walk and ride by. It is peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. However, the cottage needs some tender loving care and has so much potential. It was not clean, the kitchen was poorly equipped, the icemaker did not work, and the water in the upstairs bathroom did not get hot and had limited water pressure. This stay was not as user friendly as we have had with other rental experiences.
Owner response:Neavitt Cottage is professionally cleaned before each guest arrives. It has all the kitchen amenities that are represented in the listing, no more, no less. All rural properties on the Eastern Shore are on wells and water pressure is not the fire hose that one might find in cities, but it is ample. I cannot make things right if a guest does not let me know there is a problem. All my guest reviews confirm that Neavitt Cottage is a clean, attractive, and fun place to vacation.

My husband, dogs, and I loved Neavitt Cottage for the perfect fall getaway. It was convenient to St. MIchaels and secluded enough for privacy and relaxation with wonderful views. Can't wait to go again!

My boyfriend & I rented this home Labor Day weekend. The place was perfect. We loved sitting on the porch watching the sunset. The town of Neavitts was super cute, friendly and safe. We enjoyed walking our dog to the end of the street where there are boat docks. We borrowed bikes from the neighbors and rode to St Michaels. The neighbor's pool was beautiful! We would definitely be back.

This is my second time at this charming cottage and I love it more the second time than the first (and that is saying a lot!) The owners, Jane and John, make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Fresh fruit, tomatoes, or whatever is in season in Jane's garden is shared and the garden and pool area is breathtaking. As you swim you smell the flowers and it is more relaxing than a day at a spa. The house itself is wonderful and has my favorite front porch anywhere. It looks out at the water and is perfect for coffee and a book. The neighbors are always friendly. The house is spotless and even prettier than in the pictures on the website. John and Jane will tell you anything you want to know. I have two dogs and they just love it here too. There are even dog dishes awaiting their arrival!! When you walk through St. Michael's many stores have water dishes for your dogs. It is a very dog friendly place. St. Michaels, Tilghman Island and the surrounding areas are full of wonderful adventures. Sailing, exploring nature reserves, eating the freshly caught seafood, and walking amongst the historic homes are just a few of the treats that await you here. Two of our favorite restaurants are the St. Michael's steak and crab house (ask for Denise!) and the Chesapeake House on Tilghman Island. It is a quiet, restful, magical place that fills my heart with joy. I cannot recommend this home and it's owners highly enough.

My daughter and I had the privledge of staying at Neavitt Cottage over July 4. We loved the property! The pictures are a true representation of the property and we were thankful for a place where we could escape. The owners were nice and responsive. I ran every morning and the locals waved, talked and were generally encouraging - you don't get this type of hospitality everywhere. We also spent time in St. Michaels and Easton. There are some really great restaurants and if you do want to get back to "civilization", Premium Outlets, Target and movie theaters are a short drive. I have recommended the cottage to my friends and I recommend it to you as well!
