This two bedroom camp sits 25 feet from the shore of Lake Placid. It has views of the Adirondack Mountains. It has Adirondack style decor which includes a red oak spiral staircase to the upstairs. It was originally the bunk house for the camp next door and we put a chalet style roof on it which gave us two bedrooms upstairs. We also built a balcony off the master bedroom.
The view from this balcony is gorgeous, especially in the mornings when the lake is calm, you can see to the bottom of the lake. Besides the two bedrooms, it also has an eat-in full kitchen with all the utensils, a small living room with tv/dvd plus a wood stove and a small bath with a tub/shower. There is an open porch across the front of the camp.
The porch has a picnic table, gas grill and chairs. We have an outside fireplace and a hammock. We also have a row boat and canoe for the our guests. This property is boat access only.
We do not provide the boat. You must rent one if you do not own one. You are a 3 minute boat ride from the marina.

Year Purchased: 1987
We are natives of Lake Placid and Saranac Lake area. We have three children and four grandchildren. We both have our own businesses, Doug is a CPA/Financial planner and Carol owns a Bed and Breakfast. Each of our children also have a business that they own and operate. The Adirondacks, in our opinion is the only place to live and to us it is God's country.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Placid
We bought the camp because it was on Lake Placid and has views of the MacIntyre Range. We rent the camp because we are both very busy and can not get up there as much as we would like. We want people to enjoy the beauty like we do when we are up there.
The Unique Benefits of this Camp
The camp is only 25 feet from the water. The only noise that you get is the movement of the water, the birds and the boat motors as they pass by. The views are awesome. There are two boats for your use. There is a upstairs balcony to sit out on and porch that across the entire front of the camp. There is wading and swimming plus a lot of fishing.
