A delightful island setting in one of the most serene areas of the British Virgin Islands. Within close proximity to mainland services, there are no commercial facilities on the island. 1 car and a 15 foot Caribe inflatable for your own use provides easy transportation.
Magnificent views over 260 degree vista across Sir Francis Drake channel to Virgin Gorda, Marina Cay, Scrub resort, Beef Island and on to smaller islands and finally U.S. Virgins are unforgetable, most especially at sunrise.
This waterfront home is located on a private residential estate, Indigo Plantation, which offers complete privacy with your own designated dockage within the Indigo marina. There is a tennis court for you between the marina and one of the many bathing beaches. For your further pleasure there are several Community historic remains, private rock pools, bathing beaches and other such amenities, all within then Plantation.
Red Rocks has recently been completed (2009) to a high specification. The main house provides spacious internal and external lounge areas, dining terraces, kitchen and master bedroom suite. A charming terrace and pool deck is easily accessed from the main living room.
Two additional bedroom guest cottage suites, Loblolly and Paloma, are set below the main house with a linking drive and walkway sheltered by numerous shady trees. Both are equipped with mini fridge and coffee makers.
The Red Rocks caretaker, Lennox Sergeant, is a gem! Arrival and departure crossings are included in rental rate, additional trips or service can easily be arranged by optional request.
The estate accommodates six in three full bedrooms, each with additional space and private baths, and maximum of 2 children in comfortable lounge day beds. There is a minimum of 12 years in age for the children as the decks, rocks and cliff can be hazardous.

Owner Description
Our family has owned property in Great Camanoe since 1978, when the original home was built, this was situated on the westerly boundary. When it was sold the family missed it far more than was anticipated. Since we still owned the land next door we designed and just finished a new one. Given same site and exposure, this house has every mistake discovered in 30 years living at the old one more than corrected. It is not far from perfect. (For us!)
Why the Owner Chose Great Camanoe
The Caribbean, as a whole, is not the world's easiest destination. But the British Virgins are about the easiest to get to if you are going to the Caribbean.
San Juan is a world hub with hundreds of direct, many non-stop, flights from all over the globe. The San Juan to Tortola leg (SJU to EIS) is just 35 minutes. From Vermont we are on the deck by same day mid afternoon.

Red Rocks is a magical place situated with breathtaking views. The villa met all our expectations and is truly designed to capture stunning views and breezes no matter where you are. The separate cottages were private and lovely, though it is a rather steep hike up and down the hill to get there. The villa was very clean with plenty of kitchen amenities. Lennox, the caretaker, is an absolute dream and was so helpful with everything we needed. Our only problem was with the dinghy--it needs to be replaced as it is dangerous--we came very close to being stranded out at sea because the boat kept stalling. I would definitely recommend Red Rocks, but check to see if the boat has been replaced. We enjoyed The Baths at Virgin Gorda, snorkeling at Great Dog Island, Little Camanoe and dinner in Roadtown at Red Rock Restaurant. Bobby's Market is great and will deliver to the dock at Trellis Bay. The management contact, Kathy, was also very friendly, informative and responsive to our needs.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers.

As we approached "Red Rocks" villa by boat, the view of the estate was even more beautiful than the photos. We had been met at Trellis Bay by the villa's wonderful caretaker, Lennox, and that was the beginning of an outstanding family holiday on Great Camanoe. After we were settled, Lennox arranged to come back the next morning and give us a tour of the island. This was very helpful as we learned about the Indigo Plantation community, things to do, and places to swim and snorkel. Most days, we snorkeled locally and dined in the evening at home. Having the use of the dinghy allowed us to fully explore the beauty of Great Camanoe. We did take 2 day trips "off island": 1) we rented a car at the airport and spent the day on Tortola; 2) we took the North Sound Express Ferry to Virgin Gorda and enjoyed The Baths. The villa is fully outfitted and elegant. It is open-air and the trade winds flowed through. A great deal of attention has been paid to maximize the glorious sea views. The decks are many and serve both sun bathing and nightly star-gazing. This villa-estate appealed to us due to its privacy, location and amenities. It is an opportunity to experience the serenity of an island that is still lush and quiet.

I had the Pleasure of staying at this villa over the New Year Holiday. As good as the photos are, they really don't convey the beauty of this place. The location is ideal. While on the island, you have your own quiet, peaceful corner of the world. However, within 15 minutes you can be at a restaurant, nightclub, or a beach. I can't wait to go back!

A brand new villa that's beyond compare. I had the good fortune to attend a wedding here and the views are truly spectacular. The architecture is dramatic with sweeping curves and arched doors and windows. Three closely connected buildings on the compound afford both privacy and intimacy. This lovely residence is heaven on earth!
