This is the perfect 2 story house for both small and large groups - the main floor has 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms and sleeps 6 - however if you are coming with several family members you will want to spread out and also use the downstairs, which has 2 more bedrooms/1 bathroom. The beds upstairs consist of 1 queen, 1 double and 2 twins; downstairs there is a double and 2 twins. There is a kitchen on each floor and the added convenience of also a washer/dryer on each floor.
Linens and towels are not provided with the house - however they can be included for an additional fee.
Although this is an older home, it has great beachy charm and a perfect location. It is not close to public parking, so the beach is never crowded here. After a complete beach renourishment last year, there is lots of room to spread out even at high tide.
The historic downtown is less than 10 minutes away - there you will find wonderful restaurants, inviting ice cream stores, fascinating stores to browse through and a beautiful marina where you can see many boats coming and going - be there in the afternoon and watch the charter fishing boats unload their catch.
Well behaved pets are permitted for an additional fee - there is a city leash law and litter pick up law that we respectfully ask that you strictly adhere to - fines are imposed for littering the beach.
It is possible to rent the main floor only of this house - call for those rates. This does not apply to High Season between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

My husband and I manage this property - we live very close by. You are right on the sand in this house. It is an older home but has lots of beachy charm and is the perfect house for families.
The Unique Benefits at this House
This house is wonderful as it can sleep 6-12 and is 2 story - if only 6 people are staying, it is possible just to rent the upstairs, and lock off the bottom floor - thus making it more affordable for a smaller party. The outside deck is just steps from the sand - sitting on the deck at almost any time, you can see the dolphins playing in the surf; see incredible sun rises - definitely worth getting up early even on vacation! This house is located on a great part of the beach - quiet and never crowded - a kids' paradise!

We had our first family reunion and the layout of the house was perfect.The families with young children stayed on the lower level and the adults without kids stayed upstairs, which suited everyone. The house is immaculate and very nicely decorated (don't be fooled by the outside - they spent the money on the inside of the house where it matters most).Internet availability was appreciated and used by adults and kids. The landlady is very gracious and though we did not have any problems while we were there, I am sure she would have been very responsive if we needed her. Coffee on the back deck in the morning, wine on the deck in the evening,and looking at the water was so relaxing that we could not stop talking about how great this place was for a vacation house.Definitely one of the best places we have stayed.

This was the best get away ever. It was our second time visiting Amelia and this charming house was just right for our family of four plus Grandma and our pet. The property was clean,comfortable and sitting on the deck with direct access to the beach was convenient and relaxing. No need to carry anything to the beach,just take a few steps to the sand and enjoy morning coffee in beach chairs and take in the ocean breeze and view. We could go downtown to Historic Fernadina for shopping and fine or casual dining, in just minutes. Many nights we simply enjoyed simple meals and sat at the table just on the opposite side of a sliding glass door facing the ocean. The listing on Vrbo was an accurate representation of the property and once we arrived and spent 10 days there we fell in love with this oasis even more. We would stay at this property again and look forward to when we can. Great for a family vacation .

The beach is fabulous; miles of white sand, shells, sun. This beach house is well stocked, comfortable and very livable. Restaurants and shopping are just minutes away. We loved it.
