Favorite Fall Creek Falls stay ever!
Favorite Fall Creek Falls stay ever!
My husband and I, along with our 15-year-old son and a friend of his stayed at this home for 4 nights during a short break from school and work. We have been going to Fall Creek Falls State park for over 20 years. My son has grown up hiking all the falls and creeks. This was by far our favorite stay yet. We usually stay at the Inn or in one of the park cabins, but were later than usual planning this trip. We were unable to stay in the park and then I found this beautiful property just outside the park. It will definitely be our go-to place from now on. The owner was extremely helpful as we emailed and called. The home was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed, including all cookwear and basic needs in the kitchen, such as oil, salt, pepper, spices, etc. There was a cabin kitty named Smokey that we all came to love as she demanded love and attention! There was a large fire-pit outside that we used every night for cooking and just for hanging out around. I would gladly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in this area and we are already trying to see when we can return.

Log Cabin Heaven

The cabin was far more beautiful than we anticipated, and the pictures online aren't able to capture it all. It is located within a wooded, peaceful area where we saw deer simply sitting on the front porche, and only the sound of crickets could be heard from outside at night. It was fully stocked with anything we needed, and was clean and well maintained. I look forward to going back again, and again. The Fall Creek Falls area is stunningly beautiful. Seeing the fall colors was much appreciated as we don't get much of that in South Louisiana. Thanks, Mary, as a former B&B owner, and guest for a change, it was a great treat to deal with someone so kind and so easily accessible to us to answer questions. What a fabulous place to stay:)

My family and I spent three nights in this cabin and had a wonderful time. Every room was very clean and well-maintained. The kitchen had just about every pot/pan/utensil that you could ever need. The yard is big enough to do some exploring and the fire pit and horseshoes were a major hit with my boys (14 and 11). My younger son saw three deer right outside the upstairs queen bedroom balcony - and even had the pictures to prove it. The morning we left we saw four deer through the kitchen window and watched them for quite a while before they moved on. We spent two days at Fall Creek Falls which is a quick 20 minute drive from the cabin. The trails range from very very easy to very difficult. My 3-year-old daughter was able to make most of the hikes (with a little help from her family). The rock views and waterfalls are amazing. A quick word about Mary, the owner: the morning we were traveling to the cabin I received a call from Mary, letting me know that the coffee maker was no longer working. However, she would have someone run into town (about 30 minutes away) and purchase a new one so that it would be there for us during our stay. Immediately after arriving, the cleaning person showed up with a brand new coffee maker. Mary even called just to make sure everything was going well. We've always had great experiences renting through VRBO and this cabin was no exception. Beautiful area, quiet surroundings, all the amenities that you need, and a very helpful owner made this a great vacation for our entire family.

We have had a wonderful few days here at the cabin. The amenities went beyond what we expected. You had everything we needed and then some. We enjoyed the firepit, walking down to the Bluff to see the waterfall, walk along the trails, and the peace and quiet. The neighbors in the area were sooo friendly and it was great meeting them. This is the nicest home we have stayed in through VRBO and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We will be back

What a beautiful home you have! We felt like "family" with all the personal touches and the "extras" that make your cabin "home". Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. We came here to look for a place of our own and we believe we have found the perfect location. Fall Creek Falls is breathtaking! Thank you again for your hospitality Mary.

Mary, Thanks for working with us on the last minute reservations. Your cabin offered more than we ever expected. The cabin was beautiful... even in the rain. It was tastefully decorated with everything you would need and created a warm homey feeling. We were able to rest for a couple of days, and enjoy all the quiet nature sounds. We were able to visit Waterfall Park, and got to walk one of the trails before the rain started. I love the rockers on the front porch and watching the hummingbirds fight for food. The kids loved learning to play horse shoes. We will definitely be back. Thanks again for your hospitality.

We visited Fall Creek Falls for a mini- family vacation with a total of 7 of us and stayed at this lovely home. .we absolutely loved staying here..It's a good piece from town, and very secluded (which is what we wanted) so make sure you get what you need for the weekend on your way to the cabin at the Walmart in Spencer...we will most definetly return and stay at the cabin again!..i've already recommended it to a few of my friends! The owner is very informative and such a nice lady!..thanks again Nancy for opening your home to my family and can't wait til you get your basement finished so we can come back to the "game room"...

Beautiful and relaxing
Beautiful and relaxing
My friends and I had a very nice, relaxing time. The cabin/house is beautiful and well-maintained in a very secluded location. The owner of the property was also very accessible and quickly responded to any questions we had during our stay. We rented this property to go to Fall Creek Falls. I'm not sure about the actual distance to the park, but it was about a 15-20 min. drive; very convenient.

"Cabin Sweet Cabin" was by far an oasis in the forest. Mary's home is private, secluded and only visitsed by the deer in the early morning and evenings. It is immediately evident that the owner takes extreme pride in her home and wants to share the beautly with her guests. Mary's home is perfectly decocrated. All her personal touches add to the warmth. The pictures do not do the proberty justice. Great location. Close to Hwy 111, but private enough you can hear a pin drop. Mary gave us very helpful hints and tips on where the State Parks and hiking trails were located. We expecially enjoy the waterfalls, so she specifically included areas for us to explore. Our time there was too short and we hope to visit the area again. Mary, you have beautiful home and we thank you for sharing it with us.

Your place was wonderful!Guest comment entered by owner
Your place was wonderful!
We enjoyed your home so much.Everything we needed was available. We loved the outdoor covered wrap-around porch with its swing and rocking chairs. Excellent kitchen, with spices galore. The wireless Internet and TV were great. I had mentioned to you before that we had often rented homes in Angel Fire, NM, but honestly, yours has been our best rental! We loved the privacy, the clear nights (no pollution, could see so many stars). We also spent a few days at the Fall Creek Falls which we loved. We hope to be able to come again. Your place made a wonderful setting for my daughter and I to celebrate our birthdays Thank you. You have been an excellent owner to work with as everything was put forth in a professional, yet friendly manner. You seemed interested in our having a good time from your first voice mail on my cell phone complete through to the end of our holiday. Even though we have never met I feel like I know you! The only thing we hated was having to leave! I hope it won't be too long before we are able to make another trip to "Cabin Sweet Cabin" Spencer, TN. All the best to you,
