This home exceeded all of our expectations. It was in a quiet location close to the Fall Creek Falls State Park, and close to Burgess Falls State Park, a smaller but an equally beautiful park. We enjoyed hiking the area and returning home in the evenings to watch the hummingbirds feed and to hear numerous species sing in the surrounding woods. This home was comfortable, spacious enough for 5 women but cozy at the same time. All the amenities were as advertised. The owner was extremely helpful and gracious to open her lovely home to us. Our only disappointment was that our visit came to an end and we had to re-enter the real world. The perfect place for anyone looking to refresh mind and body.

Beautiful cabin!! The area is extremely quiet. The beds were so comfy......something VERY important to me. The owner is amazing to work with. She was extremely helpful in all aspects of our stay! We even got a welcome phone call which is a first in all of our VRBO stays. Rock City is a must see...I am so glad it was suggested, along with the amazing falls at the state park. The screened in porch and fire pit were a favorite for sure!! I strongly encourage anyone wanting to stay in this are to stay at this fantastic cabin!! We will be back agin!

This was just what we needed. A beautiful cabin in the middle of no where. The sounds at night were awsome, and the firepit was a hit with my guys. Also the already cut wood made the firepit even better. The house was neat and clean, and everything was great. I would definitly choose this house again and again. Thank you so much.
Owner response:Glad you had a great time! Come visit again... Mt Firepit is the highlight of one's stay and is even better in the fall!

Mary, Thanks again for letting us stay in your wonderful cabin. We had a great stay and really enjoyed the place and the surrounding area. We also enjoyed meeting the neighborhoods self appointed security force – Mr. Creekwood. He gave one of the ladies in our group a grad tour on his gator and showed her where all the great vistas were ?

Mary, I'm about to leave your "Cabin Sweet Cabin" and wanted you to I enjoyed it so much! As it happened, it was just me and I got to read, nap, cook, explore nearby sights and be quiet for an extended time on my own schedule. With my work, I'm in constant motion so this was a much-needed break. Will keep you in mind for future breaks...glad you were able to accommodate me w/ such short notice.

What a wonderful place for my brother and I to spend quality time with our parents. Absolutely no distractions....only three cars passed by during the time we were there. Spent our days rocking on the porch or playing card games in the screened porch area and our evenings by the fire pit roasting marshmallows. I hadn't roasted a marshmallow in 40 years so it was a real treat for me. We enjoyed all of our meals in the screened porch area. The home is beautiful and the kitchen is the best I have ever encountered in all of my VBRO rental experiences. Mary telephoned the first afternoon to make sure everything was OK---again a VBRO first for me. It reminded me of when I have stayed in a Hilton or Marriot timeshare and a representative from guest services telephones to check on you. Although our trip was in June we all thought any season would be a wonderful time to enjoy a relaxful vacation at "Cabin Sweet Cabin".
Owner response:So happy you and your family had a great time! I arrived after you left to make some more improvements that I hope you will return to enjoy! Stairs on the side of the house going directly to the firepit have been added as well as a porch swing. I also have a rustic handcrafted bench by the firepit and plan to make a few more! My kitchen is my pride and joy as I love to cook and want to make sure my guests have everything they need! i enjoyed speaking with your father after your departure and listening to his suggestions. I always strive to improve my guests experiences! Thank you for your kind response and I hope you will escape from the city again! Your father told me it had been a while since you had escaped to the country, dont wait so long until next time! Mary

We celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary in Mary's great house and we truly enjoyed the house and the lovely places to walk. Dogwoods and rhododendrons were in bloom and the woods were just beautiful. I spent a lot of time reading on the porches. The house is comfortable and nicely supplied with linens and good cookware. You will need to cook since restaurants of any kind are at least 30 minutes away. Bring groceries! Mary was very helpful when we got lost trying to find the house. Just go in the east entrance to the complex and follow her directions. She even called to next day to make sure everything was going well. I would reccomend this place.

Our family needed a quite place to enjoy Thanksgiving for this year. This home was perfect. Quite location and secluded. Was able to take walks without fear of cars. Walking to the bluff to see the stream was great. Enjoyed using the fire pit. Cooked supper over the open flame in the fire pit with my teenage boys.Plan on returning later maybe Spring time to sit on the porch. Thank you.

We were traveling for the Thanksgiving and we wanted to go to Fall Creek Falls State Park. The house is located near there and has plenty of room for our family. The house is located in the country, the deer are outside in the morning, the signs going down the road to the house say critter crossing and the critters were crossing. Great place, private, you in to quiet, stars and away from the city noise and hustle? This is it. We really enjoyed the fire ring. We had camp fires each night there, the smores were very good. Thanks for sharing it with us, we really enjoyed the long weekend.

Dear Mary, Two of the best decisions we made for our vacation were staying outside the park and choosing your cabin, which had everything we needed. It was great spending all day hiking in the park and then being able to come "home" to the peace and serenity of your cabin. Having had enough hiking, my husband decided to stay home one day. He said he spend most of the day either on the porch or in the yard reading and saw only two cars and two joggers the whole time--plus several deer. That was next to heaven for him. The weather was perfect, the park was breathtaking, and the accomodations were perfect. We will definitely recommend your place to our friends.

We brought our son and his family to this attractive log home for a weekend away and that's exactly what we experienced. The home is lovely with everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable with many extras. The yard was a great place for our three grandsons to play. We enjoyed hot dogs and marshmallows in the fire ring. The screened porch provided a delightful place for lunch and dinner. We spotted deer in the nearby woods. It was so quiet and peaceful and we were able to relax completely. We ventured out to nearby Fall Creek Falls and enjoyed hiking and picnicking there. All in all, we had a great time!
Owner response:Ann and Jim, I am so happy that you enjoyed my home. It is a wonderful place for families to reunite and have some quiet time. I look forward to you and your family returning in the future. Mary

I booked this trip for my husband and myself with one goal......to rest, relax and soak in some quiet. My husband, in addition to his stressful full-time job is also getting his MBA at Vanderbilt University. That mixed with Church and family responsibilities makes for very little down time. We got just what I was looking for at Mary's lovely home. We read, watched movies, cooked/grilled and just relaxed. We visited the Falls on Saturday and could hardly wait to get back to the cabin. The wildlife was beautiful as well. Thanks for sharing your blessings with us, Mary.

We stayed at the Fall Creek Falls cabin for 3 nights in late April (we originally had only planned on staying 2 nights but enjoyed it so much we extended our stay another day). It is very close to the park which is beautiful. Our only problem was we didn't want to leave the peacefulness and serenity of the cabin to actually go to the park!! The cabin was more than we expected and everything we could have asked for. The only sounds we heard while we were there were the birds. The cabin is a wonderful place to stay and we plan to come back to see the falls colors. We highly recommend this place!
Owner response:thank you for your kind words. I do agree, it is truely a special place. I am happy to hear you enjoyed it so much that you will be returning!

Our family spent a wonderful weekend at "Cabin Sweet Cabin". One of my favorite things was the beautiful and well equipped kitchen. We did lots of cooking, and everything we could possibly have needed was there for our use. We ate on the screened porch and spent evenings lounging on the porch and listening to the night sounds of tree frogs, crickets, and whatever other critters were joining the symphony. There were no cars or even other houses nearby to break the "silence". It was so peaceful and relaxing. Fall Creek Falls is a short drive away, and we enjoyed the Mountaineer's Festival on Saturday. The house and the setting were perfect for a rare weekend with our grown children. Loved every minute. Thank you Mary for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful piece of property. The home is warm and inviting and the surrounding grounds are a slice of paradise! Great get-a-way for entire family. Cozy, comfortable and very "log cabiny" with modern touches.

If you want a cabin that is truly secluded, you need to stay a week or more in this cabin! No neighbors, rarely see a car, and the ONLY disturbance is the buzz of the hummingbirds. Lots to do (Fall Creek Falls State Park (try the Cable hike there, if I can you can!) and a scenic drive to Chattanooga with Aquariums, Art District, and trains) or nothing to do (just sit on the wrap around porch and watch and listen to the nature). There is even wood to make a fire and roast marshmallows with utensils provided. We ate every meal on the screened in part of the porch. Mary, the owner, is very generous with her cabin and its contents. My ONLY regret is my husband and I did not stay in the bedroom with the BIG walk-in shower. It will be our turn next time!

Simply "Amazing"! Mary you have a wonderful place, tranquil and the setting in which the cabin was built is beautiful. Just minutes from the Falls, which is where we spent most of our time, we will be adding the photos to our photobucket soon and I will post a link on here. I must say, the wrap around porch is my favorite place, quite comfy and relaxing! We most certainly will return to "CABIN SWEET CABIN". Thank you so much Mary! Mike Frame and "Jo" Anna Austin : )
