This is a perfect ski home. Only a few miles from the slopes or take advantage of the free ski shuttle only a 100 yards from the home -- this 2,500 sq ft Cabin is a fabulous retreat after a great day of skiing & boarding. Its private setting and rustic elegance sets the stage for rest and relaxation and includes a private hot tub, steam shower, and gorgeous mountain views.
Newly built in 2008, the home resides in the “Cabins at Porcupine Ridge”, a secluded neighborhood of Winter Park Ranch, and one of the most upscale new developments in Fraser. This large single-family residence allows you to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors all within 10-minutes of one of the most renowned Ski Resorts in Colorado!
The Cabin is decked out with new furnishings and high-end appliances and provides all the conveniences of modern day living, neatly blended with a collector's dream of antiques.
Walk through the custom entry, and enter the great room with its beautifully crafted vaulted ceilings, stone fireplace, hickory planked floors, and hand-carved log beams.
The dining room features tall leather chairs with a cherry-wood table, expandable to seat 8. The kitchen was designed with the chef in mind, boasting granite countertops, breakfast bar, gas stove/convection oven, and stocked with all of the cooking extras to create the warmth of home.
Off of the great room, step outside to the covered private deck that backs to an open space full of aspens and pine trees and a spectacular view of the Continental Divide.
Our Mountain home offers two master suites, so it perfectly accommodates a multi-family gathering. The main level master suite is furnished with a king-sized bed, flat-screen TV, and its own large master bathroom with walk-in shower.
Up the log staircase, is the second master suite, which occupies the whole second floor. This suite is beautifully appointed with a queen-sized bed, richly hued bedding, flat screen TV, and private bath and shower.
Located in the lower level of the Cabin is the second living area, the two additional bedrooms and third full bathroom and laundry room. One room contains a queen bed and is quaintly decorated in an equestrian motif.
The remaining bedroom is a cowboy-style bunk room that is both kid & adult-friendly as it contains three double-beds which can sleep up to 6.
After a nice long day on the slopes or hiking & biking trails, the family and friends can warm up in the six-person outdoor hot tub, conveniently located right off the patio deck.
For those who enjoy the therapy of spa heat to restore their muscles, the Cabin has a custom steam shower in the lower level bathroom. The media room offers a 52" flat-screen HDTV with DVD player and 200 channels of DirectTV.
As a courtesy, there is a large selection of DVD's to view, books to read, and games to play --for both adults and children – as well as toys to keep the little ones entertained!
If this isn’t enough to make you book your vacation right now -- other amenities include the following: in-floor radiant heat, separate laundry room with full-size washer and dryer, and oversized heated 2-car garage.
Renting a vehicle is optional as the Cabin is located only 100 yards from the free ski shuttle that stops at the entrance of the development and travels directly to the base of Winter Park Resort as well as in and around town.
