MendoMeadow has been created with attention to detail and an eye towards relaxation. The ceilings soar 16 feet to rough hewn beams. The ceiling high rock faced fireplace starts with a push of a button… put up your feet and be mesmerized by the flames.
Walk to town for a bit of shopping or a meal in one of our fine restaurants. Come for a scheduled event: Crab and Wine Days, The Wine Festival, Mendocino Film Festival, Mushroom Celebration with restaurants featuring locally collected fungi….Winemakers dinners, Fourth of July, Paul Bunyan Days…we’d be happy to send you links to the calendars showing these events and many others…
The kitchen is fully equipped. Gas stove/oven, Henkel knives, baking pans, casserole dishes and lots of little gadgets to ease the preparation of meals...and a dishwasher to make cleaning up a snap. We have a Weber propane BBQ on the deck right outside the kitchen. It is run off a main line so there is never a bottle to fill or the worry of running out just before your meal is ready.
In the garage you will find 4 All-Terrain 21 speed bicycles and a variety of helmet sizes for safety. Different frame sizes with easily adjustable seats to create the perfect fit. There is a child carrier seat for taking along the littlest member of the family. We also have baskets for carrying your jacket or lunch... Take a ride up Big River, cruise the Headlands or sightsee around the town of Mendocino. Or grab the backpack from the closet to stash your groceries in.
Thinking about an Elopement or Renewal of Vows? We can put you in touch with an experienced Wedding Officiant here on the coast. And we will share the names of our favorite local cake bakers, photographers, floral designer and caterers with you.
....Whether you are a Honeymooning couple...enjoying your anniversary...for the first or the fiftieth year...surprising that ‘special someone’ with a romantic getaway or planning a well deserved vacation. The master bedroom has a private bath with antique claw foot tub for a long soak or a refreshing shower. The deck out the master bedroom glass door has a hot tub ready and waiting for you. Enjoy your favorite beverage while you enjoy the star filled sky.
....Bring along the children, they will enjoy the "Ocean Critter" themed room with its submarine, swimming turtle, seahorse and assorted other ocean creatures all painted whimsically on the walls. (Our family friend, aged 50+, says this is his favorite room to wake up in!) This room has bunk beds and an extra sleeping pad for use with a sleeping bag, pad is suitably sized for a 2-12 year old… This room has Child-sized table and chairs, Duplo blocks and assorted other toys to occupy hands and minds. Chutes and Ladders, Don’t Break The Ice, Barrel Of Monkeys...etc.
....Invite your Mom, Dad, Uncle John, Cousin Sarah …the second guest room has a king bed and reading chair done in soothing ocean colors; teal, cream, pale slate and silver. Set up a jigsaw puzzle on the coffee or dining table and visit away as your family endeavors to complete the picture.
....Traveling with friends? Come on over! Assign rooms and start marinating your favorite foods to BBQ. Enjoy the sunset while sitting on the deck…talking and laughing… After dark pull out the cards and play a fun hand or two of poker.

Would you like to arrive with the kitchen already stocked from your personal grocery list? We can do the shopping for you. Maybe you would like to have a Chef prepare a special meal for you? We can arrange that. Or would you prefer a prepared meal waiting when you arrive-just heat and eat? We can take care of that too!
All beds have cozy flannel sheets to cuddle you as you drift off to sleep.
Beds: To sleep 6 people: 2 king beds, 1 set of bunkbeds. Additional 2 children: 1 portable crib and one sleeping pad suitable for a 2-10 year old-bring your own sleeping bag.
To sleep up to 8 adults: We also have a queen Serta Airbed (one of the plush double high Airbeds) that can be set up for 50.00 per night or $300 per week.
Fort Bragg is 10 miles north, Skunk Train, Glass Beach, Redwood Forests….visit Cabrillo Lighthouse less than 5 minutes away…
Bring your pet - we have dog beds and dishes for your four legged family member. There is an additional $25 one-time cleaning fee for up to 2 pets, rate may be higher for more than 2.

You can often find me at Ledford House - sitting at the bar with my favorite bartender - watching the sunset. For a tasty burger I head to Little River Inn, another wonderful sunset view. When I feel like breakfast or lunch, I head 10 miles or so south to Elk and Queenie's Roadhouse....my personal fav is the Reuben. My house is often filled with family and friends who love to come visit...is it my company they crave...or the gorgeous coast that brings them calling!! Our dogs complete the family so creating vacation homes that have a fenced yard and accept the family pet(s) was a big priority....they're part of the family too!!!

This is the first review I have done, but when we returned from our trip this weekend, I wanted to write immediately. We had a wonderful time at Mendomeadow this past weekend. There were 7 adults and a labradoodle. Mendomeadow far surpassed out expectations and is a place we would visit again and again. The yard was terrific for our pooch and he enjoyed being out of the city. The accommodations were like we were staying in a friend’s house with everything being so convenient. We especially liked the well thought out labels on absolutely everything and within the first hour we felt like we had been there before. Holly was great in getting everything ready for our stay and was a delight to work with. And oh my, the board games were plentiful and now we decided that at least once a month the group will get back together for game night in San Francisco. Thank you Holly and Mendomeadow for creating lifelong memories.

My husband, son and I along with our friends and dog had a wonderful time. Well appointed home with all the amenities you could ask for. Did miss having a washer and dryer... but who wants to do laundry on vacation anyway. Would love to go back... if it weren't for the drive from SF>

MendoMeadow is fabulous! We had an incredibly relaxing time, and felt that the home had literally everything we could possibly need. This was truly the perfect place for our 3 year old, who was completely happy playing in the kid's room with games, blocks, toys, books, etc., and for us grown-ups, who had space to cook, read books, sit in the hot tub, etc. The owners have thought of so many little above and beyond details -- crocs to wear if going outside briefly, backpacks for day trips to the beach, sewing kit, little play slides outside for kids, plenty of towels for both hot-tubbing and showers, muffin tins, blender, waffle iron, and every other kitchen gadget imaginable. We don't have pets, but it appeared that everything a pet owner would need was right there! The home is warm and cozy, but with high ceilings and a layout that makes it seem quite spacious. The location is quiet and with beautiful surroundings, and with no other homes/neighbors right in view -- and just a 3 minute drive to Mendocino town! Everything was clean, and Holly was very pleasant and helpful to interact with by email and phone. We would highly recommend this home to others, and hope to be back again next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Mendo Meadow. Though we were only there for a couple of days, it was relaxing and had all we needed. We loved how all the cabinets were labeled with the contents. It made finding things very easy. The dogs loved the backyard and the dog bed. Our little dog loved laying on the dog bed in front of the warm fireplace.

Arrived 09/17, and even though prior party had not left until well after noon, Holly and crew allowed us to hang out & enjoy decks, yard, etc., while they sped ahead to finish preparing for our visit-very thoughtful and greatly appreciated! Difficult not to repeat prior positive experiences that others have had, but will chime in on all the excellent qualities and details to be found at MendoMeadow! Holly's attention to detail and foresight made each day as enjoyable as the last. People really appreciated large decks and seating, and our dogs have never had a larger(with incredible smells to check out) fenced yard to be in. They were a little frustrated by the resident chipmunks and/or squirrels laughing at them from high above in the trees, though. Our stay was for 5 days, and we wish we had planned for longer! We have stayed at many places in the Mendocino area, and MendoMeadow comes as close to perfect as I think you can get. Thanks again Holly(and we hope to return soon)!

We had our Girls' Weekend in this beautiful place, friends and family coming from all over California. What an amazing place to share time!! Everything you need to enjoy time together. Close enough to Mendocino to enjoy a little village time and then steal away to hot tub...loved it!! We will definitely be back.

We had a mini family reunion with all ages represented. The house is very user friendly. Everything is in working order and well organized. The kitchen is labelled so equipment is easy to find quickly. The beds are comfortable. The hot tub is delightful. I would love to stay there again.

Mendo Meadow met all our expectations. It is clean, welcoming, bright and everything has been thought through. We were in the area for a pretty intensive workshop and coming back to the quiet, spacious accommodations was most welcome. The area is beautiful and fun. We would definitely go back.
