All furnishings are simple, rustic and found in old haciendas and farm houses. Tons of pillows, new linens, brand new beds, freshly painted. Very clean and uncluttered. The house has a peaceful & relaxing feeling in the midst of Centro.
Great layout for 2 couples or family of four. Guest bedroom is on the 3rd floor. It is very private and cozy. Adjacent tto the yoga studio and leads up to the roof top palapa. Great linen closet. Nice bathroom.
Master bedroom is very spacious with a view over the courtyard. It has a seating area and a fireplace. King size bed and tons of closet space. Nice bathroom.

I have been visiting San Miguel for years and now own a store there on Recreo.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The house has a wonderfully peaceful, light feeling. It is in the heart of the city -- yet when you walk inside you feel right very calm. It's a large house with different areas. The layout is great. There's a lot of room for privacy. When I have guests we all feel very free. You don't feel cramped at all in this house. You can relax on the rooftop in a bed while overlooking the mountains and someone else can be in the courtyard BBQing or listening to music. The living room off the courtyard is very much it's own space. You also have the yoga studio/workout room. There is a garage converted into an office. I also love the kitchen which overlooks the courtyard and has an adjacent pantry and full laundry room with washer and dryer. The dining area lis simple and serene. The master bedroom is a very cool place for lounging around. I mounted colonial doors over the windows in the master bedroom (which can be opened) in order to block light in the morning -- like any good hotel. It's been a great design project. I'm always buying and adding unique things antique dealers around town and have decorated with a very light, simple style.

I stayed here in May for 3 weeks and it was a pleasure. This is a perfect spot for walking around town and getting the true feel of San Miguel De Allende. The house looks unassuming from the street and yet when you walk inside it's a stylish, simple and big place with 3 floors and a yoga room. The house is nicely designed. It's also cool inside due to the brick work. The kitchen is perfect for cooking. The pantry is stocked with everything. The bedrooms have chocolates and books and bottled water on hand. There are fresh towels and all the linens seem to be new. There's a TV, cable and DVD library with all the latest movies. The courtyard is stunning. The rooftop palapa provides relaxing, shaded place to read and sleep and write with a view of the churches and mountain range. PS: Solidad, the housekeeper is a big bonus and keeps everything tidy. I will come back next year for sure. Highly recommended!
