The AuTrain Island View Lodge is large vacation retreat and you can either rent the entire lodge or if you have a small group and don't need as much room, you can rent one side--the Lakeview Retreat side.
Just a steps from your front deck you will be awed by the beauty of Lake Superior. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan has nationally ranked snowmobiling trails, numerous waterfalls, hiking trails, kayaking, canoeing and other water activities and even one of the most beautiful sand beaches just minutes away for either swimming or walks in the moonlight.
If you are interested in fishing or admiring Lake Superior, we have a beautiful spot with rocky ledges leading out into shallow waters. You will be able to fish off these ledges for rainbow trout and spearhead. Less than an hour drive from a major airport.
We have just finished remodeling the lodge the Summer 2009 with a fully-equipped kitchen with all the amenities and two wood-burning fireplaces.
Also, just within one-mile there are miles of sandy Lake Superior beach nationally known for their beauty. Come stay with us and you will understand why AuTrain, Michigan is considered Michigan's best kept secret!

We came here from the Lower Peninsula to get away and what a getaway this was! We were so relaxed and the accommodations were excellent! Beautiful, tranquil, amazing! :) We love it here! See you again!

We found this on the internet. The kitchen was so well stocked with spices and all! The scenes were beautiful. We made it over to see Pictured Roacks. This area is great! We would love to spend a week sometime. Thanks for the wonderful stay we had at the lodge. We love it and felt very much at home.

Beautiful scenery, wonderful house. Pictured Rocks is one of America's jewels. AuTrain canoeing is a great way to spend half of a day. We loved Miner's castle.
