Owner's Profile
Owner Description
My husband and I met in Estes Park shortly after college and decided we could never leave. The Riverside House was the first home we ever bought and we put our heart and soul into it. Jeff is a contractor and lives to improve things so he got to work on our house. With the help of my homemaking we created quite a life and home. Soon kids came and although we felt our home was perfect we decided we needed more open spaces outside for them to run in. We found another home to put get to work on, with a huge yard for our kids to play in. Although we have made our new home a fun place to work and play we couldn’t imagine parting with our house on the river. I’m sure if you stay there you’ll see why.
Why the Owner Chose Estes Park
One of the reasons we love Estes Park is that it is inviting to everyone. There is nothing haughty about this wonderful town. Although there are many high end accommodations and restaurants, there are equally as many places for families just looking to relax and enjoy the National Park. It is a quintessential tourist town with fun shops and plenty of activities for kids and grownups alike. We have absolutely loved raising our kids in Estes. They enjoy wonderful schools and an abundance of preserved nature. We just can’t get enough of Rocky Mountain National Park. Estes Park is a wonderful summer vacation spot with warm days and cool nights. Perhaps one of the best things about Estes Park in the summer is the lack of mosquitoes. Of course it’s not too bad in the winter with beautiful snow covered mountains.
The Unique Benefits of this House
One of the most special things about the Riverside House is the wonderful porch overhanging the Big Thompson River. There is nothing like taking your morning coffee out to the porch swing while you listened to the river. It is an absolutely wonderful place to enjoy friends and family out on the patio or porch while the river rushes by. This one of a kind location offers the peaceful setting up against the river and a convenient location. It is within walking distance to downtown Estes Park and only three miles from Rocky Mountain National Park.
