We had a fabulous time staying in this truly "Chemical free" town home. If you suffer from allergies - this is the best place we have ever found! Cheryl also has everything you need when taking your pet, even a special sofa that our dog "Ginger" absolutely loved! My husband and I will definitely be staying here on future visits to Folly. Gorgeous home, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean. Perfect area for exploring Folly without being in the middle of it all. Quick, pleasant walk to our fave spot, The Lost Dog. DH loved the peppermint soap, & I've stocked some at home. The dogs appreciated the cool water when we arrived, & the bag of dog treats was a lovely touch. We rented a golf cart for the week, which made getting around so easy. For those considering renting here, know that the photos and description are accurate, and Cheryl & Michael are easy to work with. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, but probably won't, as we're hoping to buy a place on Folly this fall. I'd recommend this to friends and family without reservation! Great spot, great location, comfy and clean, friendly owners!

We had a fantastic time staying at this property. Cheryl was so accommodating and provided everything we could possibly need. The house was so clean and fresh smelling. The art and furnishings were so much nicer what you would expect in a rental and the bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. We rented a golf cart through Lightening Bugz and didn't use the car except to go to Charleston or the grocery store. The house is close enough so that you could walk to the beach but with kids, chairs and umbrella it's so much easier in a golf cart. We highly recommend this property for your next vacation.

We had a great stay. Cheryl couldn't be more helpful and has 3 binders filled with all kinds of information for the area. The fresh flowers and personal welcome letter are a great touch! The house is very comfortable, especially the master bed. We were a little concerned about the fragrance free restrictions, but all the soaps and supplies were right there so it was no big deal. We now are using the same soap at home because we liked it so much. We can't wait to come back and stay even longer!!!!

Though we were a bit nervous about the rules, this is a wonderful property! Owners were nice, had helpful information about things around town, and even bikes to ride. Townhouse was spotless and comfortable, with a touch of contemporary luxury; made our get-away just perfect. Would recommend!

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home. We had the best time! It was by far the most comfortable place we have ever stayed in. The king bed felt so luxurious and the pottery and art work were exquisite. We so appreciated the attention to detail, like making our Winston feel welcome with the dog bowls and the couch cover. He had a great time too, and made quite a few friends at the dog park downtown! (Thanks for the tip about Dr. Bach's Remedy, it worked well). Also, we're now big converts of Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap- we stopped at Earth Fare to stock up before we left. All in all, our main goal for the trip was rest and rejuvenation. We couldn't recommend a better place for achieving that and we are already looking forward to returning sometime in the near future. Warm regards, Christine & Tim

We loved spending a week in your beautiful house. Everything is so lovely - peaceful - and an excellent air conditioner! I felt wonderful here - natural products, the most amazing bed ever - I am even contemplating changing from our waterbed. Michael & Cheryl- You have a lovely home in Folly Beach! It was the perfect place to get to know the Charleston area & at the same time kick back and relax. I can’t think of any other place we have been where you can be leave the beach and be in a big town such as Charleston in less than 20 minutes. The townhouse was so clean & spacious feeling. I love that you make all attempts to keep a chemical free home. As I mentioned to you, my husband has asthma and my son & I have allergies and we did not suffer so much as a sniffle while we were down there. The pictures on the website are very impressive but seeing the place in person was such a surprise. The description on Homeaway.com was right on point. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. You went above & beyond expectations as a host. The compilation of places to go, menus, and personal suggestions saved us valuable time rather than guessing where to go. Gosh, back to St. Louis way too soon! You and your townhome are southern hospitality in its truest form! I cannot thank you enough for making our stay so perfect. My dad enjoyed it thoroughly! What a great getaway this was! Folly Is anything but boring. And your condo was perfect. Quiet, clean and very tastefully done. We loved the gourmet kitchen and were inspired to cook some pretty nice meals - it was a pleasure. The beds are lusciously comfortable and clean. Could ask for nothing more. Except that we would like to come back!

"I just wanted to ask you what brand of mattress is on the bed we slept on? Unbelievably good nights sleep. My joints usually hurt during the night from pressure points (I have fibromyalgia and some osteoarthritis). I thought the mattress at my home was okay, until I slept on yours. What a difference, no joint pain, I could actually sleep on my back, which I never do. It felt like a foam mattress. Thank you again for everything, I really loved your home and felt like I could just move right in." (A really wonderful guest from the great frozen north... the mattress in question is a Tempur-Pedic ®)

Guest comments prior to this date were originally manually posted on our website as guests emailed, wrote notes etc. When we initially listed our property the guestbook was giving error messages when attempted to test, I couldn't imagine asking anyone to deal with it. We were so busy at the time we made no serious attempt to obtain assistance thinking whatever the cause it would eventually be revealed and resolved assuming it was happening to others as well. When things finally slowed down months later we looked into it again but same issues. Tech support did indeed come through once we contacted them as the problem was apparent and reproducible. Having had months to think about if this really matters or not, the only concern is that some potential guests are warning others on advisory websites never to consider a property if it has no guest comments. Though I can understand their viewpoint, this is not entirely a valid stance as I doubt we had the only dysfunctional guestbook. We're dealing with computer programs etc. after all, things happen.

After reading the previous reviews and looking at the images our expectations were pretty high. I have to say they were exceeded. Where to begin… The keypad lock system was wonderful. Being able to go to the beach and not worrying about a house key was great. When we split up we didn’t have to worry about if the kids could get in. The garage and opener were another big plus. I travel with allot of photography gear and being inside meant not having to unload all the gear every eve. My two teenagers put at least 100 miles on your Beach Cruisers. They biked up and down the main streets and on the beach at low tide several times. Much has already been said about your beautiful home. The decorating is more than tasteful. The beds were so comfortable getting home to our bed was a little disappointing. The kitchen has really made my life a little more difficult. The wife now has a long remodel list and you kitchen is the blueprint! ? From the screened in porches to the outdoor shower, I could just go on and on… Thank you for making our 2010 summer vacation so restful and enjoyable.

Quickly checking in to let you know how absolutely WONDERFUL everything has been. We're having a great time and love the home. (snip) Also, we haven't used any chemicals here at all, but the mosquitos are pretty awful and we've had to spray ourselves with skin-so-soft when we are out and about. If you had a suggested/provided bug repellant that wasn't offensive to you, I'm sure many guests would be happy to use it. Beth (PS - Dasher loves the dog blanket and stair treads... what a thoughtful touch!) Thank you so much for making us feel right at home - we had a fantastic stay! This townhome is lovely & we also loved the decor. A ll your maps & recommendations etc. were a great touch. We'd love to come back to Folly & stay here again! Made it home safe and sound. We had a great visit and really enjoyed your place. Our GPS got confused trying to find the house but the picture you sent saved us since we both spotted the distinctive paint colour. It was a perfect distance from the beach - not too close to the parties but definitely an easy walk. The kids loved that they got to see a loggerhead turtle nest (or at least the tape and note around the sand), saw some dolphins and lots of different birds. Great vacation!
