Choose from separate charming accommodations on our historic 35 acre rural farm and garden estate nestled on the hill overlooking Westsound, Turtleback Mountain and the setting sun.
Our focus here on the farm is sustainable living. We like to think of ourselves as having not only a green thumb, but a green heart. Let us be your gateway to Orcas Island, the gem of all the San Juan Islands and a place "everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime."

Horses, sheep, goats, alpacas graze our pastures. Chickens range freely and help us garden by turning the soil so it stays soft and airy, and eat the insects that bother the plants. Our fruit trees range in age from 5-105 years old. Bald eagles and hawks nest in snags, hoping to have chicken for breakfast, but our geese scream the warning bell, and the whole flock runs for cover under netting, just in time. Venture out onto the trails of our 15 acres of forest. We might not be 'off the grid' just yet, but you will be convinced you have entered a paradise. The stars are the only light in the sky. The only smells are of sweet sea air, plant and animal life, and the only sounds you hear are of your own breathing.
Each unit is built with fine attention to artistic details. Our projects and landscape are our creative expression.
The Carriage House: Three studio suites with outside private entrances and patios. Vaulted ceilings, many windows with views, extra sleeping lofts. Kitchenette or full kitchen, natural wood treatments throughout, lively warm colors, glazed tile, and custom cabinetry from wood milled here on the farm. These units each comfortably sleep up to four.
The Farmhouse: Newly renovated for 2009, this home has five private units each with kitchenettes, 1 and 2 bedrooms and all with mountain, farm, and water views. Enjoy your private deck or patio accessed by French doors for an evening meal or a morning coffee in the fresh sea air. Plenty of natural light, high ceilings, and large windows. Westerly views of Westsound, Turtleback Mtn., and spectacular sunsets over the water and other islands. Kitchenettes or full kitchen, hardwood floors, custom mill work, tile, and stone. Individual units sleep 2-6 guests
The Guest Rooms: Three European style rooms w/ queen beds, shared or private baths, and views of the farm and water. Enjoy the feeling of cozy intimate rooms in the owner's historic farm estate home. Custom art tiles, hardwood floors, parlor and reading room with access to owners large private library. Furnished with a mix of contemporary and antique.
We are pet friendly!! Ask about bringing your other 'family member'!!
When you reserve a lodging, the owner will personally assist you with your Orcas Island vacation plans. Let us know if you are interested in renting multiple units for larger parties. You will receive a confirmation packet outlining the details of your lodging, literature and maps of our island, a recreation guide, restaurant recommendations, a personal history about our farm and animals. Tours of the farm are additional. Yet just being in and around it is often just enough. We have been cultivating experiential vacations since 1996.
