This cabin is the PERFECT multi-family vacation spot! Built in 1936, this charming, comfortable cabin is in the most peaceful location in Blue Canyon on the sunny, southeast shore of Lake Whatcom.
The main cabin sleeps 11 comfortably with the bonus of a detached cabin which sleeps 2 on bunk beds and 2 on a full size hide-a-bed. The main cabin has an open floor plan with beautiful fir floors, a gas fireplace and original paneling.
On the main floor you'll find the full kitchen(small appliances such as coffee maker, toaster, microwave and blender included), dining area and living room.
Off the living room is a lakeside sleeping area with a twin bed with trundle which can be made into a king bed. There is also a beautiful, newly renovated bathroom and private bedroom with a queen size bed, as well as full washer and dryer off the main entry area.
Upstairs you'll find a large bedroom with a king bed and single bed. Through that sleeping area you'll find a more private bedroom with a full size bed. Please let us know if you need a crib and it will be provided.
Enjoy your morning coffee watching the fish jump on the most calm part of the lake. Large grassy area perfect for badminton or croquet. Terrific swim and sun area on your own private beach! Bring your boat!
With the public boat launch just ten minutes away, launch your boat once and keep it dockside at the cabin for great water-skiing and wakeboarding. Fish from the dock. Excellent canoeing, kayaking, and wind surfing outside your front door.
BBQ on the giant gas grill and roast marshmallows over the fire pit. Feeling more adventurous? Only 30-60 minutes to outstanding day hikes near Mt. Baker or Chuckanut and Blanchard Mountains.
World class mountain biking about 20 minutes away on Galbraith Mountain. Wonderful golf courses nearby at Sudden Valley and Avalon. Excellent shopping, restaurants, spas and cinema just 30 minutes away in Bellingham. Vancouver BC or Seattle, WA short drives North or South on the Interstate.
Try out the cabin in winter, too! Excellent down-hill skiing and snowboarding only 60 minutes away at Mt. Baker Ski Area. Cross-country ski and snow-shoeing trails 45-60 minutes away.
This really is the PERFECT cabin for a family getaway or just some rest and relaxation!
We hope our special place will become your special place, too!

We live in Bellingham and love to stay at this great cabin on Lake Whatcom. It is a great getaway for our family and friends. There is no traffic on the road and this end of the lake is relatively quiet. Both the house and the bath house are clean and well renovated. We have stayed here in the summer and also in the winter months. When we want to get away from it all (quickly) we head out to our favorite spot.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.
