We stayed at this condo summer of 2011. There were major problems which ruined our vacation that included: 1) no one advised the people at the gate house about our impending arrival. We were almost denied access to the community 2) the unit had cockroaches the size of an adult's index finger 3) our daughter had bug bites all over her body after sleeping in the twin bed. We assume they were from bed bugs and had to take the necessary precautions with our clothes when we arrived home 4) all the shower curtains were full of black mold 5) there were no sheets for the sofa bed 6 ) the sofa bed mattress was a bed of springs 7) there was old food behind the sofa, probably contributing to the cockroach infestation 8) the cheap plastic vertical blinds were missing slats causing the light to stream in the windows in the morning 9) the maid arrived at 10:00 on checkout day, even though checkout was at 11:00
Owner response:The gate house was called and given your name for arrival. I do not know what happened as I was not called. The building is sprayed by maintenance monthly for bugs, I was there the week before and saw no bugs. The couch/sofabed was bought new in May along with 2 new recliners/ The entire unit was painted in May/ ceilings and walls. The unit was also steam cleaned and all shower curtains were changed.Replacement blind slats- levelor - were installed in May. The mattresses are plastic covered and then waterproof covers are put on before linens/ your daughter probably got into sand fleas. The maid called me at 12:00 to say you were still there. I am sorry you had a bad vacation.

We wish we would have been told more about the complex before we went. Our Cell phones did not work. He told us after we were home we could use the house phone. It would have been nice to have that number to leave with people back home before we left. The wifi was very iffy, even in the internet room. We were under the understanding you could rent chairs and umbrellas for $25 for a week...found out it was $20 a day. Also there were other things available that we did not find out till it was time to leave. You can use tennis rackets for free and probably other things. There is a nice concession stand at the pool. Prices are not cheap, but a nice touch. There is not much extra in this condo. Bring bath soap, clothes detergent, dishwasher detergent, TP, paper towels, beach chairs to use on beach and at pool. There is a sign that you can not turn the AC lower than 72 and that was not cool enough to keep the upstairs cool. There were not enough lounge chairs at the pool for everyone who wanted to sit at the pool. The pool water was nice and cool. The ocean was full of sea weed. We liked the location and not having to fight the traffic to get to the grocery stories and CVS. There is a cute area in the complex that we also found when we were leaving. A place called Castaways. They have trivia, bingo, and karaoke some nights.
