Our stay at 32 Rue De Buci was wonderful. The apartment was charming, very clean, relatively quiet (there's a little activity outside the bedroom window due to the restaurant across the street) and roomier than much of what you'll find in such a desirable location. The location is ideal. There are a couple of nearby Metro stops which we made use of for for visits to Montmartre and Le Marais, but we were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. A supermarket is right around the corner, numerous cafes just steps away, and plenty of (high end) shopping. There's quite a lot of activity in the neighborhood, the place is hopping on the weekends, but not so much that we felt ill at ease; in fact it was energizing. Having the separate bedroom is a luxury; I like to get up early to read and write, my wife prefers to sleep in a little, so I just closed the pocket door, made coffee and enjoyed my morning (and so did my wife zzzzz...) Federico was always available by phone, and Elsie had the place in spotless condition when we arrived. Highly recommended. We will likely try to stay here again the next time in Paris.

The apartment was everything the description said and more. It took a few hours for me to get past my American expectations about space, but I did. Then I realized that the apartment was so perfectly set up that I had everything I needed. Very clean, lots of hot water, a very comfortable bed, and all the gadgets. The neighborhood is great for walking, eating, shopping and people watching. Public transportation is convenient. Many sites are within easy walking distance. The 69 bus stops nearby. Federico and Iwona are gracious hosts. There was a small incident that could have tried their patience. The fault was entirely mine. Their only concern was my safety. Really classy folks. I recommend this apartment to anyone who can manage the stairs to the elevator. I have joint problems, but got along fine. I'll stay there again.

This is an outstanding apartment with a superb location. So close to the Metro and the Seine, we really felt that we were in the heart of the city. The ambiance in the neighborhood gave us a real tate of Parisian sidewalk cafe life. The Apartment gave us the flexibility to eat in when we wanted quiet and it was very comfortable. My daughter, age 10, loved this place so much that she was wistful upon our departure. We all fet the same way as well. This is a GREAT apartment!

This is the ideal apartment if you're looking for one that's well laid out, got all the conveniences, close to public transport (if you need it), got plenty of food and shopping nearby but is also quite and easy to access. Iwona was at the apartment to greet us when we arrived, which was.a nice touch. She ran us through the ins and outs of the apartment and said that if we had any issues we could call them immediately (we had no need to). Although the building itself is old, the apartment has been well and truly modernised and has all the conveniences such as washer/dryer, small but more than adequately equipped kitchen, cable TV, free Wi-Fi access etc. There's also a free phone service, even for international calls, if you follow the rules. Given the cost of intentional calls on a mobile phone, this was a nice touch, too. We split our dinners between half and half between dining in and dining out. Getting adequate supplies for dining in was an issue, not because there was limited or no choice but because here was so much of it. Within 100 metres of the apartment is everything you require to prepare a great meal. Others have commented about the elevator and the stairs. It's true that the elevator only starts from the first floor, so you will have to carry your luggage, and yourself after a day's tourist activities, up at least one flight of steps (and down when you leave). The stairs themselves are fine and posed no difficulties for us. We would happily recommend this apartment to anyone who was looking for a place to stay in this area of Paris.

A bit difficult getting into the apartment, and tiny elevator goes only from second floor and stairs are quite narrow if one has much luggage. However, the apartment is very nice, clean, well equipped. Perfect if one intends to do some cooking, etc. The location is excellent, close to everything, including Metro. A lively, vibrant neighborhood but the apartment is very quiet! It would have been convenient if someone was there to answer questions (as at a front desk reception) though the owner was helpful, letting us know that we can call them anytime we have concerns.
Owner response:Dear Bill & Sonia, Thank you for your review. Just a couple of remarks: the elevator starts from the 1st french floor. Stairs are typical Paris town-center, not wide but not narrow either. You have to keep in mind that the building was built in 1690. Concerning check-in we always spend 30 to 45 minutes explaining our customers all the details about the flat and its equipment. We try to offer the best service, providing the maximum amount of details in the shortest possible time. We also provide a very detailed instruction booklet and, after check-in, we are available 24/24 by phone or e-mail for any question or problem which might occur.

The apartment was wonderful. It was very quiet in the apartment, but once you walked out onto Rue De Buci you were in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood. The neighborhood has restaurants, bakeries, a farmer's market, a wine shop, a grocery store, boutique shops.... We could easily walk to many Paris attractions. It was such a fun place to stay. We definitely will be back. There's more Paris to see! Thanks, Federico, for sharing you beautiful place with us!

We had the pleasure to stay in this lovely apt for a whole week. It is just perfect. It was the perfect place to come home to after a long day of sightseeing. Federico and his family are wonderful and the apt has everything you need in a lovely, accessible to everything neighborhood. Everything was as promised and more. Hopefully, we will stay again when we return to Paris.

My husband and I spent 5 nights in this apartment in May, 2011, at the end of a long European trip. It was the second apartment we rented in Paris this year, and it was by far the best. The apartment is clean, well-maintained and very nicely appointed. Although the photos and description are highly accurate, everything was even nicer than we expected. Anything we needed was available, including things like extra towels and kleenex, and everything was of good quality. Federico's orientation to all of the equipment was thorough, and we very much appreciated the time he took to ensure we would be able to use everything he has provided. The neighborhood is absolutely great...galleries, shopping, dining...and venturing further is easy with two Metro stops very close by. We highly recommend this attractive apartment to you, and will recommend it to friends and family as well.

We stayed for six nights in May, 2011 in this perfect apartment. The listing was totally accurate as to the location. Even so we did not realize how well located it was until we actually stayed there. Many desired locations for both "tourist" sites and restaurants are easily walkable and there is excellent Metro access to two lines if it's too far to walk. The neighborhood is attractive, colorful, safe and entertaining. There are excellent markets for all kinds of food within a block of the apartment. We were able to easily bring in excellent "carry outs" of different food. The photos accurately show the apartment's virtues. It is clean and excellently maintained and equipped. Federico and Iwona were very helpful, answered all of our questions and arranged for the taxi to the airport. We felt that it was a perfect size and space for the two of us. We would definitely stay there again and we would recommend it without hesitation to family or friends. Our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood was FISH, less than one block away, but there are many restaurants of all categories that are an easy walk. Bustling bars, and outdoor cafes are everywhere. The Orsay and the Louvre are easy walks as well as the Cluny, Maillot, Luxembourg Garden, the De la Croix Museum, Notre Dame and St Chapelle . There are many art galleries in the area.

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful apartment to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, and we could not have imagined a better place to stay. So close to everything we love about Paris, and right in the heart of great restaurants, shopping and bakeries. There is a large supermarket just around the corner where you can stock up on all the basics. We loved having a pre-dinner drink with the locals in one of the many nearby cafes. You can walk to the Seine and Notre Dame in 10-15 minutes. We would return to Federico & Iwona's apartment with no hesitation.

Federico's description of the apartment was very accurate. It had everything you need and much more, extra towels, plenty of storage, comfortable bed, plenty of kitchen and bathroom supplies etc. Federico and his wife graciously met us at the beginning and followed up with phone calls when we were leaving as well as e-mails confirming that everything was left as we found it.And the location could not be better. After making the reservations last year, I found out that I needed a hip replacement(scheduled for August) which I made worse by a compression fracure of the pelvis. I took a wheelchair but the sidewalks were too narrow to use it. However, the location was so perfect that I could still walk to everything(albeit slowly). Notre Dame and the islands in the Seine are 20 minutes away. The great Musee d'Orsay is very close, and definitely one of the great museums in the world. The churches of St.Germain and St Sulpice are just a few blocks away. The area has a great variety of restaurants from a classic one-star(Jacques Cagna), excellent but expensive, to a wonderfully busy and crowded bistro, Bistrot d'Henri. Our favorite, less than 4 blocks away was Christine, on Rue de Christine With a charming gite and everything at your doorstep, the vacation that I was so nervous about due to my walking limitations turned out perectly. It did not hurt that we also had perfect weather. Basil

My wife and I spent our Honeymoon in Paris this past April. We had a fantastic time. The apartment is situated on the left bank in the ritzy San Germain district of Paris, about a 35 minute cab ride from CDG airport. The apartment was ideal launching point for our days activities. We were in walking distance to just about all major sights. The apartment is clean, comfortable and safe. The washer and dryer was a huge help as well. There is a grocery store just down the street, which allowed us to save some cash on eating out. There are also great resturaunts and shopping just outside the apartment. Federico is a gracious host that will explain everything you need to know about the apartment. He was also kind enough to provide us with a bottle of wine upon arrival. We had a great time and look forward to returning in the years to come.

My husband, myself, and 2 teenage sons stayed at Rue de Buci in April and found his apartment to be perfect for us! The location is amazing and the apartment was thoughtfully arranged and appointed. Both of the beds were quite comfortable (even the pullout couch). The apartment is not large, so if you are traveling with 4 people and lots of luggage you may feel a bit cramped, but that said, we were very comfortable and had plenty of room. The place is charming and historic, but also has wifi and a terrific little kitchen set-up. We ate in a few of our meals to save some money and were happy to have everything on hand that wee needed to cook. Federico was wonderful to deal with...we had lots of back and forth e-mails before our arrival in Paris and he was always helpful and friendly—and patient with me! We can't wait to come back.

We stayed in this fantastic apartment for two weeks in March/April 2011. We were thrilled with the location and proximity to the metro and RER. The apartment is nicely sized, clean, and was very quiet. The kitchen is well equipped. There are many charcuteries, patisseries, wine shops, and other specialty stores close by. I appreciated the quality hair dryer and the washer/dryer combo. We are a couple in our 50’s and appreciated the full sized, super comfortable bed. There was also a very nice convertible bed in the living room that we used a few times when someone was snoring! I highly recommend this apt. Many thanks to Federico and Iwona. They were very helpful and answered all our questions promptly. We have used VRBO for 20 years and have never been disappointed. Another winner!

My daughters and I stayed in this wonderful apartment close to everything-- food shops, bakeries, cafes, the Metro and all the major sights in Paris. Not only was it immaculate and fully equipped (just as the pictures represent), the owners (Federico and Iwona) thought of everything anyone could possibly need during their stay. In addition, they were very helpful and accommodating in going over everything in the apartment both in advance and upon our arrival. This apartment is on one of the most charming and happening streets in Paris and we found the neighborhood friendly and safe at all hours. We can't wait to visit again and would stay in this wonderful spot in a heartbeat!

We (the two of us and our teenage granddaughter) spent the week of Nov. 20-27 in the Rue de Buci apartment tand were delioghted with everything. Federico and Iwana, as well as their adorable baby girl met us at the flat and gave us a short tour, explaining the workings of the appliances, etc. The apartment itself is just like the pictures. Everything is very clean and looks new and pretty. The furnishings are very nice and comfortable , and the bathroom is conveniently arranged We loved the kitchen area. It is so cleverly designed, with a place for everything. Since the neighborhood offers any number of food shops, we kept fruit, cheese, bread, and drinks, and made a good breakfast every morning. The neighborhood… how can I describe it except to say that it was perfect for us. The shops, markets, cafes, streets, the people and even the dogs, were just what we wanted for our granddaughter’s first trip to Paris, and she certainly agreed! We walked to many areas, and took the metro from Saint Michel station to other areas. We look forward to staying again on Rue de Buci, and have already recommended it to friends..

My husband & I just returned from a week in Paris Oct 2011. From the beginning dealing with Federico was a dream! He has everything planned out for your stay and the apartment reflects his care and professionalism in dealing with clients honestly. He checked us in early and spent so much time showing how to work each appliance & where everything is. Okay, now for the apartment. The apartment itself is roomy and yet cozy with every comfort & device you could ask for. It was soo quiet even though it's in the most fun area of Paris with loads of shops & restaurants. The only down side is once you're snuggled inside & you decide to do use the wi-fi to check your mail etc... you forget there's an incredible fun world right outside the door. Federico & Iwona - thanks for a fabulous stay!

My husband & I stayed in the Rue de Buci apartment for 10 nights. A lot of thought went into the planning of this apartment. It is well-organized and the kitchen is very well-appointed. Everything that you need for a comfortable stay is available. We loved the location - near the street market, boutiques, Metro, and churches. Federico & Iwona were gracious hosts throughout the reservation process, and Iwona took time upon our arrival to show us how all the appliances worked. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay & would love to stay in their apartment again.

This flat is wonderful for a romantic getaway. Federico and Iwona were fantastic hosts, incredibly professional in renting us their flat and really, just nice people who helped make our stay in Paris a wonderful experience. Federico made reserving the flat and arranging the deposit super easy. When the time for our trip finally came my girlfriend and I arrived after hours of flight delays, and Iwona had graciously waited for us at the flat to give us the keys and show us how to work everything in the apartment. It was just as described in their pictures and description, stylish and very well maintained. The space was perfect for our 5 day stay in Paris. Right in the heart of St. Germain Des Pres it provided the perfect "home base" for exploring the entire city by foot. With laundry and a kitchen in the apartment we were able to make the most of our travel budget, enjoying some meals at home (a grocery/wine store is just around the corner) and splurging on some fantastic restaurants in the neighborhood. Free calls to our family in the States allowed my girlfriend to easily stay in touch with family and work back home while on our adventure, and the local guidebooks Federico and Iwona had on the shelf helped us plan an unforgettable trip through Paris. We look forward to returning to this amazing city for a longer stay in the future, and will definitely look first for availability at this very nice and perfectly located flat.

We stayed for 8 nights at the end of August 2010. Everything was as described; the photos gave an accurate representation of the apartment. The property was immacualte. Iwona met us on arrival and went through all the details of running the machines etc. We would certainly stay there again and reccomend it to our friends. Rue Buci is close to everything in central Paris. One night we were late coming back from touring and decided to get food in. While the regular shops were closed we got excelent Italian takeout at a fair price from the Italian rsetaaurant about 3 doors down just before Ave St. Germain de Pre. There is a real advantage to having a spot that is quite homey. The space for bags , clothes etc. was more spacious than what we had expected. Federico arranged a shuttle to CDG for us. Thirty eight euros for two and no dragging the suitacases on the Metro and RER. Truly a great place to enjoy Paris from.

Rue de Buci apartment was ideally located in close proximity to 3 Metro stations (2 lines - both convenient), restaurants and food shops. The apartment was roomy, clean and airy and provided all equipment necessary for our stay. The bed was firm and very comfortable. The apartment was fairly quiet and very secure. One flight of stairs (no problem) before elevator access. The owner was meticulous in providing information about the appliances in the apartment both before and on our arrival. The flat was absolutely lovely and is definitely highly recommended! The owners Federico & Iwona were extremely helpful and accomodating. The flat was just as described and better than the photos. The pull out sofa was very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking, which we did alot of because Paris dining is quite expensive. We appreciated having the clothes washer/dryer combo included in the flat. Although the building is old, the flat is very modern, very efficiently designed and very clean. Guide books and phone service in the flat were an added plus. Although it was a few blocks from the Metro, the location in the Latin quarter and close proximity to a well stocked reasonably priced grocery could not have been any better. We always felt very secure in the area. The only thing that could have improved our stay would be fans due to the heat at night, but admittedly it was unseasonably warm during our stay and windows at either side of the flat allowed for a nice cross breeze. All of us (including our two teenagers) totally agreed that it was THE perfect place to stay while visiting Paris. We walked ALOT and made full use of the Paris Metro system. We were able see everything on our must list: Musee d'Orsay, Louvre, L'Orangerie, Saint Chappelle (stunning!), Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Champs d'Elysees cafe, Sacre d' Couere and surrounding area, Eiffel Tower and Versailles. One of my favorites was going to the top of the Arc d'Triumph at night to view the city. The only mistake we made was assuming the Metro passes we had purchased would work for the Versailles train - ouch! However, the Paris Museum Pass helped bypass many long lines at the sights and is also recommended.

My daughter, my granddaughter and I had a wonderful time in a wonderful apartment in Paris! The apartment was clean, attractively decorated, and with all of the modern conveniences that make vacationing a pleasure. The apartment is in a literary, historical area, convenient for walking and also between two Metro stops, going in two different directions. We could not have been happier there. The owners were totally responsive, welcomed us there with a bottle of wine and a "how to" around the apartment. We would stay there again, definitely. Restaurants and grocery store were also nearby, We felt very safe. The apartment is two blocks behind Saint Germain de Pres Church.

We visited Paris for 10 days in early February and had a wonderful time, in large part because of our “home away from home” at 32 rue de Buci. The apartment is well-maintained and is located in a very lively area, close to the Metro, and offered all the amenities of home including wifi high-speed internet, HDTV, local phone, and a kitchen well-stocked with appliances. But it was only on arrival that we noticed the personal touches such as a complementary bottle of wine, Paris travel guides, and even an extra cell phone! Federico and Iwona, thanks for being such gracious hosts! We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon. Andrew and Lena

This wonderful gem was home away from home for twelve days. It is perfectly located in St Germain with a market, restaurants and shopping right outside your door. There were no surprises as the photographs on the website were a perfect depiction of this immaculate apartment. A five minute walk will get you to two different metro stops. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and accessible. Do yourself a favor and grab this one up if it is available.

Thanks to Federico & Iwona sense of hospitality, friendlyness and organization, we received an excellent service with a personalized welcome on arrival; coming from far away that was really appreciated ! We loved the appartement not only because it is really well decorated with modern & very complete equipment, but in addition the place is very cosy, quiet and retained the very unique charm of old Saint-Germain historical buildings. Great TV/Tel/Hi Speed Internet combination; small bathroom but with a good use of space, quality fittings and pretty. Very clean and well maintained with new equipment and recent renovation done with taste. Listing description was accurate and the real thing was better than the listed photos ! Furthermore its location was perfect for us: very convenient food and delicatessen shopping at Buci famous market 30m away; plus great entertainement, large choice of movie theaters, restaurants & bars, the special Saint Germain "atmosphere" and all sight seeing you wish for across the corner ! I will not hesitate to recommend this place to ourn friends and relatives; we had a great time and wish to come back as well.

We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights with our 2 young children and loved it. It's brilliantly located, with everything we wanted out of our Paris experience literally right on the doorstep - great cafes, bars restaurants, shopping and a minute or 2 walk to 2 metro stations. It is small, but impeccably and very thoughtfully renovated. The owner, Federico, was very helpful in ensuring our comfort and enjoyment. Highly recommended.
