  At the risk of having Stern and Anchor become so popular that reservations are difficult to get, I have to write this review anyway. This cottage is wonderful, absolutely perfect! The cottage has been lovingly decorated with beautiful furnishings and exudes a warm, inviting ambience. And the view - wow! It was such a treat to drink our coffee each morning while just taking in the view of the mighty Pacific and Salmon Creek. It was difficult to leave the cottage for our exploring expeditions. Next time, we're just going to stay put and enjoy this little enclave by the sea. Thanks for a great time, Frank!

  The Stern and Anchor is a treasure. As the exterior is a windswept, carefully preserved fisherman's cottage, so the interior provides a cozy, snug, artfully designed haven of comfort and security. Beautifully appointed furnishings, a complete kitchen and warm pine panelling complement a gorgeous view pouring in from the oversize north/west facing windows. We cannot wait to return!!

  We've just spent 3 amazing days at this lovely house near Bodega Bay. It has everything we needed for a relaxing weekend on the North Coast: great views of the ocean, a super comfortable bed, and close proximity to the great little town of Bodega Bay. The house is owned by a famous San Francisco interior designer and it really shows! We will definitely be back!!

  My fiance and I have stayed at Stern and Anchor 4 or 5 times in the last couple of years. Sometimes with friends and family sometimes just the two of us. Sometimes in sunny summer weather sometimes in winter storms. We have always enjoyed ourselves. Sitting by the fire watching the storms. Sipping a margarita in the love seat Adirondack chair. Hunting for sand dollars at low tide. I recommend rolling the canoe down to Salmon Crk for an easy paddle up stream. We live in the Bay Area and treat this warm, comfortable house as the vacation home we don't have.

  Just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for offering up your property. The house exceeded ALL our expectations. It was clean, well maintained, beautifully furnished and truly felt like the cottage we have always wanted to own. I know we will be back!

  I've just planned my second trip to Stern and Anchor - the house has clearly been lovingly decorated with special details found in every room. Thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing walks on the beach and around the dunes. Can't wait to get back out to Stern and Anchor in June!!!
