Enchanting. This 1930’s, large 1 bedroom studio cabin is sure to relieve your stress. Cavalier Cabin has high vaulted ceilings, sky light, lots of windows – look for the stained glass, and old fashioned hardwood floors. The beautiful river rock fireplace is sure to keep you warm during those chilly winter evenings. Offering one queen bed and a twin day bed. The kitchen was recently remodeled and is fully stocked. The bathroom has a shower. Direct TV/DVD.
The large outdoor deck has patio furniture and a gas barbeque. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and star filled nights.

Cavalier Cabin...... Thanksgiving in the Mountains
Year Purchased: 2005
Why the Owner Chose Idyllwild
I'm from Northern California and absolutely love North Shore Tahoe. I moved to So Cal about 11 years ago. My neighbor always talked about Idyllwild (his family has owned a place in Idyllwild for years). I finally had a chance to visit the town and just loved the atmosphere.
Months later, I happened to see a darling cabin online and decided I wanted to see it. I was curious.
Well, I walked in and the stress was gone. Enchanting does not begin to describe the cabin. This cabin was previously owned by 2 artists. There is so much positive energy that flows in the cabin. I can drive up, spend three hours at the cabin and come home feeling totally re-energized. This is one very very happy cabin.
I might also add, I am a travel agent. Yes, I get to visit a lot of beautiful places. However, Idyllwild has a great "feel" to it. It feels like home.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Unique benefits.... well, I think most people that stay at Cavalier Cabin have mentioned how comfortable and cozy the cabin is. I want people to enjoy their stay - that's why I allow their 4-legged friends - and I want people to want to return. I read all the guest's comments and I do make the changes (within reason) that are asked.
I hope that my guests feel the positive energy when they arrive, and leave feeling rejuvenated. I certainly do. Yes, you could stay in a hotel, but why? The idea of Idyllwild is to get away....this cabin allows you to get away and hopefully leave feeling like you have been on a vacation.
Benefits - peace and quiet, gorgeous sunsets from the deck while enjoying a glass of chardonnay. No cars, loud music, horns honking, or sirens.
Letting Saylor chase the squirrels and play in the snow.
Oh, the stars at night. It's pitch black out and you can see millions of stars. Awesome!
A hiking trail for the not so serious hiker. Very enjoyable and scenic.
Enjoy shopping, dining, and much more in the quaint village of Idyllwild.
Grocery store, pharmacy, post office, video rentals, Gary's deli and meats and organic foods found in Strawberry Creek Plaza.
Owner's Map of Idyllwild
I named the cabin "Cavalier Cabin" after my dog, Saylor. Saylor is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He loves visiting the cabin - all the different smells, squirrels, blue jays, and hanging out on the deck. He loves playing in the snow!
Steve and I love hanging out at the cabin and relaxing. We'll sit out and catch a few rays, and read a book, barbeque. It's wonderful to get away from the traffic noise and traffic congestion. The cabin is very quiet - well, except for the blue jays and squirrels.
We also like hiking around the area - we don't worry about someone speeding along the street.
Our favorite thing about Idyllwild - the 4th of July parade. Yes! Small town America!! You feel the pride of living in this country and truly enjoy the small town, friendly atmosphere of this community.

Came to see friends and get out of LA and enjoy the mountains. Tips - if it's late summer - go find the blackberry vines near the studio. Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin . We couldn't love it more. Appreciated - all the fun games and the fact that they all had all of their pieces intact! The location is perfect.

This is a walk down memory lane. Our children attended Tahquitz Pines Campground in the 60's. Idyllwild has certainly grown!. Enjoyed your lovely well equipped cabin. Wished it was closer to Tucson - we'd be here a month or more each summer - loved your quilting book. Enjoyed watching the squirrels and bluejays.

Thanks a lot for letting us stay on such short notice. I'll definitely be back when my life becomes hectic again. Memorable - the simple yet amazing mocha at Aroma's. Seeing so many shooting stars and being able to relax without worries.

We enjoyed the deck. Good job on raising the roof. Skylights are great. Bookshelf stocked. Very thoughtful. Enjoyed July 4 parade, mini hikes. We introduced our pug to her 1st long walk through town. She kept up with our big dog and was the belle of the ball at the parade. Coming of age for her.

We love the deck and want to make this a yearly treat. Came here to celebrate Jeff's 50th birthday and Father's Day. Tips - La Casita Mexican Restaurant has good food to go! Appreciated - the kitchen was super clean and well stocked. It was a special and relaxing day for all of us. We saw a deer by the back fence right after the sun came up. Riley, the German Shepard, enjoyed squirrel watching, deck snoozing and running around.
