  This villa was perfect for our family of six. Very well-maintained, spacious, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The views of the ocean were wonderful. The pool/spa area was also very nice with a lovely gift shop. The beaches were very clean and private and the owner was wonderful to work with and very accomodating. We found it to be a very relaxing, peaceful location and would definitely stay here again!!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

  Our family has been staying in VRBO rentals since the company's early days, and we found our experience with this owner and property to be so positive that I feel compelled to write my first ever review. The condo is just as pictured (if anything, it's better, as there is now an upholstered easy chair in the family room, in addition to the leather sofa and love seat); has high quality furnishings, appliances, linens, and decor; and is extremely well equipped. We were there for four days over Thanksgiving, and I cooked all of our meals, some of which were fairly elaborate, yet I had very little need of the kitchen wares I schlepped from home. I had some concerns that the condo might be a little small for a group of six that included grandparents and teenagers, but the well-furnished balcony became a comfortable, second family room, and we never felt cramped. Pointe West Resort is being well maintained, and the private, groomed beach (NO seaweed or cars!) is the best stretch of sand I've ever seen on Galveston Island. We walked it many times, wearing off our Thanksgiving pie, and I was willing to do so barefooted, which I've never done before on a Texas beach. All of my dealings with Laurie were pleasant and straight forward. There was no question too small that she didn't answer, and she was always quick to respond. Thanks, Laurie. It was a pleasure!

  Dear Laurie & Fontana Family, I just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful weekend at your condo. It was the perfect place for the 3 of us and my little grandson Tristan (Now I'm 4!) fell in love with his home away from home. :) The beds were comfy as well as the living room sofas. :) The patio was wonderful to sit and sun in the morning with a cup of coffee. The lazy river pool was perfect for Tristan and the beach very clean. Loved all the neat quotes and pretty decor. :) We visited the Train museum in Galveston that Saturday and watched a huge train come in from Houston - Tristan was in train heaven :) We look forward to coming back again in the future. :) best wishes, RobinA

  Thanks Lorie...we had a wonderful time in your lovely condo. Even though it rained alot while we were there, we still had time on the beach, at the pool and on your wonderful porch. The condo had plenty of room and everything we needed to make our stay great! Thanks for sharing it with us.

  Great place to stay!, July 31, 2010 By Becca (Austin, TX USA) Wonderful condo....very nicely furnished, lots of room, loved the large patio with great views of the ocean. Easy access to the beach and the private beach (no cars) made it especially nice. Owner was very accommodating and easy to work with. We would definitely like to stay here again next year!

  Exceeded expectations!, April 8, 2011 By Jeremy (McKinney, TX) Location = Awesome! Property = Great! Owner = Fantastic! Overall Experience = Incredible! Everything we expected or hoped for paled in comparison to the actual property. It was extremely clean and equipped with everything we needed to live comfortably for the few days we were there. We walked to the beach in 2 minutes. The grounds were well maintained. Everything was great. The owner was also very responsive and easy to work with. We are planning to make another trip to Galveston and hope that this property is available then.

  Great Vacation Rental, July 13, 2010 By Rhonda (Russellville, AR USA) We enjoyed our vacation rental very much. The condo was nicely decorated and furnished. Experience with the owner was tremendous. The facilities associated with this condo were also exceptional. Will definately look forward to future business with the owner. Holiday rates are quoted. Including Spring Break, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I invoice through PayPal. 50% down at time of booking then final one week prior to check in.

Additional Fees and Taxes:

Tax 15% hotel tax

Cleaning fee $125

***NOTE*** Starting July 1, 2013 Pointe West will charge a $25 resort fee to rental guest of home owners. This fee will be collected at the front office at time of check in.
