Owner's Map of Annapolis
Our cottage has good bones and peaceful land. Because I love it, I named it "Chi Rising," which describes its positive energy, welcoming presence and solid, grounded feeling.
A nester at heart, I renovated Chi Rising inside and out and have loved the challenge of removing old materials and updating applications of paint, flooring and comfort amenities like ceiling fans and additional lighting. The process continues. There is much more planned to do.
The newest addition is the screened Summer porch that seats 10 for dinner! Relax and take in the beautiful gardens, relax and take a nap too.
An avid gardner who enjoys creating perennial theme gardens using Feng Shui principles, my goal is year-round seasonal color and texture, combining heirlooms and plants native to Maryland. The garden has been certified as "Bay-Friendly" by the Maryland Cooperative Extension Office.
Nature's beauty abounds in the backyard garden where you can read a book, meditate or contemplate your next adventure around town. There is room to practice yoga, toss a Nerf ball, and entertain friends and family. Oh, and we're a short 10 minute walk to downtown & a 15 minute car ride to a vast sandy beach on the Chesapeake Bay!
Visit and use all the spaces. Chi Rising is your home while you are here. Enjoy it!
