ON THE WATER! Breathtaking 180 degree views of the sparkling sea and the soaring mountains from the living room, bedroom and 30 foot long lanai--1200 square feet of space. Access to the indoor laundry room. This is a light, airy unit with tropical furniture, tiled floors with area rugs. The living room looks out on a very large golden bamboo grove as well as the yard and the fabulous view.
TRANQUILITY
Awaken to the cooing of doves and the rustle of the wind in the bamboo and the coconut palms. Relax on the lanai and enjoy the serenity of paradise on the water. Located near 3 major "highways" makes the airport, Pearl Harbor, Honolulu and Waikiki just a 20--25 minute drive. The location makes it easy for you to get around the island but you will always be glad to "come home" to the serenity that nature provides.
BEACHES
KAILUA BEACH, a 3 mile long, white sand beach is just a 7 minute drive from the house. Rated as the best beach in the country, this beach is safe for swimmers of all ages. Enjoy an early morning stroll to watch the sunrise or an evening walk to see the full moon rise over the horizon. Also a great beach for boogie boarding, kayaking, kite surfing, wind surfing and paddle boarding. We provide beach towels, chairs, coolers, toys, mats and boogie boards.
KAYAKING
Launch the two 2-person kayaks from the back yard of the house. Paddle out to Coconut Island where the t.v. show, Gilligan's Island was filmed. Around the shoreline of the bay, going out for about 50 yards, the water is only knee to waist deep. On calm days it is easy to see the bay's seabed, the corals, the fish and various other marine life. You may also swim, snorkel and fish in the bay.

I really loved my stay in the red Ginger room. It was so much better than staying in the big city...the views of the mountains and ocean are amazing and being on the water is special. The owner and staff made feel at so at home and it very spaceious and clean. Full kitchen made making meals and tropical smoothies nice and easy. Feel out there and yet only 20 minutes to the city and about 45 to the northshore on a beautiful drive. They were so nice they even stored my bags before checkin and kept my food in the fridge after I checked so I could take their sea kayak to coconut island...it was one of the highlights of my trip, and kick butt workout. I would recommend this vacation rental to anyone!!!

we had a comfortable stay at one of the units, great views of the bay and a beautiful garden. we enjoyed our chats with the landlady who was a great help as we moved to the island and even helped us move to a permanent housing. she was very resourceful whenever we needed guidance as to the local businesses, restaurants and even accompanied us to the local markets. she went beyond her responsibilities as a landlady and was more of a friend for us during our early days on the island.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, pet owners, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+.
