This beautiful Sunset Cottage is a private home with 3 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms; and sleeps up to 11 people. The home sits on a premium lake-front location on beautiful Lake Cumberland, offering a three (3) plus mile vista view. Without a doubt, one of the best house views on the entire lake. The large back deck with a grill and firepit sits overlooking the lake, providing a great setting for coffee in the morning, BBQ's and sunset views.
This is a great relaxing home for the entire family or a group; and it has a downstairs game room/basement complete with a pool table.
A boat ramp is located within one mile of the home for convenient lake access; and a private dock is five minutes from the house with a shared pool and other fun activities the entire family can enjoy.
You are located within minutes of Somerset if you wish to take in a restaurant or need an item in town.
For parties of 8 or more, ask about our Sunset Dinner Cruises between Lake Cumberland and The Big South Fork River.
Depending on the size of your boat and number of vehicles, we have parking at the house and an additional boat parking area near the shared pool and private dock location.

Our lake home has unbelievable views in a quite, relaxing area with nature and the amazing outdoors at your footstep. We live in Los Angeles and this is as close to a sunset on the Pacific as we've ever seen inland.

Within 20-30 minutes you can be at Cumberland Falls or in Daniel Boone National Forest hiking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, cave touring...and oh yes, we have a private dock and other accommodations at our country resort for your use that's within a five(5) minute drive.
Private dock for your use; and also great family fun with swimming pool, basketball, horseshoes, etc..
This is private property for parking your boat if needed after hours. This is preferable over parking at the residence due to the shared driveway

The owners of the property were wonderful! Southern hospitality at it's finest. They were easy and so great to talk with. They answered all of our questions and then some. The house was well maintained and exactly as the pictures reflected.. The place was very clean and well stocked . When we did venture out to the store we found everything easy to find.. My daughter and I went shopping the day after Thanksgving and got some great buys at the shopping areas. My son enjoyed the hiking close by. Something for everyone. Our family came together to celebate Thanksgiviing at this lake front home. We were looking to get away and to find a place close enoough that we could enjoy the holidays with our adult children. We loved it and plan to book time in the spring this year when we can stay a full week. A "Peace Of Heaven" there! Thank you for making our family time so special. God Bless

Just came back for this home, Had one of the BEST times the house had everything needed and then some. I highly recommed this vacation home close enough to everything and private enough for the relaxation for yourself. We had 5 girls that wanted to see the moon bow, after the moon bow we came back to the house, we built a fire on the back deck and enjoyed the lake view all night the sunset is unbelieveable I will go back also the renters recommended a few attractions that is a not to miss things to do. Thank you Terri for all your help us girls travel alot and could not ask for better place to stay we will be back. Love this place!!

I am a pastor and we were looking forward to much needed time away. This property offered this plus much more. Beautiful home with so much space. This is a warm, relaxing lakefront with a beautiful deck. The photos of the view DO NOT do it justice. I don't think I've seen anything more beautiful and I've traveled internationally several times. It was also clean and had a wonderfully stocked kitchen. We only dined out once. Tourist spots, stores and restaurants were all 5 to 25 mins away. This is a must stay property on your next trip to Lake Cumberland.

We rented the house the last week of July. We 5 adults, 2 teens, and 4 kids ranging in age from 1 week to 9 yrs. I liked having the downstairs area with tv and sitting area. The kids were able to have there tv and the adults didn't have to watch cartoons. The deck was really nice. It was a great place to sit and have coffee in the mornings. We were very impressed at how well the house was stocked. We brought a variety of kitchen items, but didn't have to use any of it. Even though the house feels out in the country, everything is really close. It didn't take more than 20 mins or so to get to the store. The marina was very convenient to get to also. The house is neat and clean and overall a very enjoyable place to stay.

We stayed at this house for a couple of days and wished we could have stayed longer. The view is as described "Awsome". The foliage was beautiful this time of year and we had a full moon at night. We visited the Big Southfork Senic Railway and had a picnic lunch at Cumberland Falls State Park. The beds were really comfortable and we had everything we needed. The house has a wonderful walk in shower downstairs and the third bedroom is as beautiful as the two shown. I'm hoping we can make our stay longer the next time we visit. Thanks for a wonderful time.

I visited with my son and a few of his friends. The house was perfect for this group, they loved the rec room downstairs. We really enjoyed the deck and the fire pit. The view was so pretty. The leaves were beginning to change but still had 70 - 80 degree weather in the daytime. It is worth the drive to Cumberland Falls and we enjoyed the scenery at the Natural Arch. There is a lot to do outdoors, we will have to come back to do it all. Nest time, we will make sure we bring our fishing gear. We did wish you could walk to the lake from the house. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

There is an amazing view from the deck, beautiful at sunset! We rented a boat near the cottage and had a great time! We also took a short drive to Cumberland/Eagle Falls, they were well worth the drive. It includes a hike, but we loved the adventure and exercise! This cottage is very clean and nicely maintained. Comfortable beds! Great lakefront rental!
