Great restaurants, stores, shops, and entertainment are very close by. The popular Balboa FunZone is two blocks away and the Ferry will take you to the famous Balboa Island for fun and shopping. This is a wonderful location for your family vacation where fun and relaxation are easily available to you.
There is one car space in the covered carport, and unlimited street parking. The unit has a full kitchen with all the cooking utensils, microwave, fireplace, TV, DVD Player, free wifi, directtv, 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths, upper and lower decks, BBQ, outdoor eating space, access to 2 beach cruiser bicycles, and coin operated laundry on the property. The unit will sleep 6.
The Beach Duplex is located in the resort city of Newport Beach, and is on the Newport Beach Peninsula. A great number of recreational facilities are available to partake of when you end your day on the sandy beach.
Nearby is the FUN ZONE where your children can enjoy the Merry-Go-Round, the Ferris Wheel, several game arcades, boat rentals, and take a ride on the Ferry to Balboa Island. The are many parks, tennis courts, and outdoor sports rentals including kayaks, sailboats, jet skis, and fishing excursions.
Numerous restaurants are nearby including McDonalds, Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Chinese, Pizza parlors, and upscale family restaurants serving Italian, Chinese, American, Sea Food and other ethnic style foods.

We spent an wonderful week here in June 2011. The property is great - just as it is described and shown in the pictures. The location is fabulous. All dealings with the owner were dealt with promptly and efficiently. We would definitely consider staying here again and recommend to others.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Our family of 4 adults had a wonderful time at the beach, enjoying our stay in this condo. Pictures and owner description are very accurate. Tons to do/eat within walking distance, beach cruiser bikes (provided) were awesome for exploring. Facility was quite clean and decor pleasing. A pleasure to invite guests over for dinner or walk along the boardwalk. Beach is very close; down alley almost a block, cross the street and there's the sand. Quiet upscale neighborhood, not much in the way of traffic. Short walk to Balboa Fun Zone area for food and shops, boat-watching, arcade. A few one-way streets can be confusing to drive at first but not really a problem. Variety of dining: Mexican, Japanese, Pizzas, Seafood; fast-food, casual and fancy restaurants within walking distance. Our stay was 9 days. We were comfortable, rested and never bored. Condo well-equipped; fireplace, comfy couch and loveseat set (couch is a sleeper, too), DVD's to watch, toaster, coffee-maker, pans and baking dishes, utensils, towels and linens as well as extra pillows, throws and comforters. Updated bath and kitchen were finished very nice. We found everything to be in working order and user-friendly. Cost consideration: shop around, but 1 block away, right on the sand/boardwalk was twice the price. All contact with owner was easy and courteous. Just an email or phone call away. Paperwork (contract, agreement, deposit, receipts) very straight-forward. Payments handled through Paypal; transactions all worked fine. Deposit refund just arrived as stated. No worries. Would we do it again ? Definitely. Thanks ! P.S. We were relaxed and having such a good time, we did not take enough pictures ! Suggestion; take more than you think you should...sunsets, birds, family playing games, reading on the beach, couch-napping :)
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.
