This house is conveniently located to downtown Golden, Co, with easy access to Denver. Golden is a great community with lots of things to see and do. As well, there is an endless list of things to see and do in Denver and the surrounding areas The house has a "homey" feel to it. It has a spacious living area and the kitchen is well-supplied. It is clean, well-maintained, quite, and private. It has a fenced yard in which children can play without constant supervision. There is a community gym a few blocks away (within walking distance) for working out for a minimal fee. Our family has stayed here for week the past two Decembers, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay each time..

'Brewmaster House' was perfect for our family attending a wedding weekend in Golden. Convenient location walkable to downtown Golden, yet combining privacy with backyard amenities and adjacent park. Also convenient to expressways heading to Denver airport or the mountains. Property listing and photos were accurate, and owners highly cooperative, and even included a list of local recommendations for tourists. Property clean and well maintained.

Owner response: Thanks so much. You guys were great. We're fortunate to be in such a good location.

The house was just as the ad said. Very comfortable, great location, quiet, clean and just what we needed. The stores were very nice, the restaurants had good food, and the information station was very helpful. The owner was just a phone call away if needed. I would recommend this property to anyone. Keep up the good work.

We spent three nights attending a reunion at Mines. This was a great location for accessing downtown, School of Mines and walks along Clear Creek! It was clear to see that the owners have put much care and effort into refurbishing and maintaining this property--it's a great old house. As owners of a rental property ourselves, however, we felt a few things lacking--while there was hand soap by each sink, no soap was provided in bathrooms for bathing; the kitchen was minimally equipped-some dishes chipped and the coffee pot really needed to be cleaned before we used it. Because the location is ideal, we would probably return--especially now that we know what we need to bring to make our stay most enjoyable.

Owner response: We are sorry that you didn't find the soaps and toiletries in the linen closet. We stock soaps, sewing kit, shampoos, conditioner, lotions, etc. From now on, we'll place some in each bathroom. We will look into the chips on the dishes and maybe it is time to trade out the coffee pot. The kitchen is stocked with silverware, glasses, plates, cookware, pots, pans, cheese grater, spices and everything one needs for a cooking. Please call and let us know next time there are any issues.

Members of our family came from 4 states to celebrate Easter together. We saw this house as a way to enjoy ourselves and cook family recipes. The nearby walking trails were a good way for the older folks to enjoy the outdoors. The front door was not usable from outside but that was okay because the sidewalk and front stairs weren't safe for older folks. The kitchen was well stocked and all the furniture was very comfortable. We would do this again.

We stayed here for several weeks after we sold our home and were waiting to move into the new home. It was so nice to have a solid home base during this stressful time and John was very responsive and easy to work with. The house itself is great! (very clean, nicely laid out, etc.). It was perfect for us and our two dogs, and was big enough to comfortably accommodate 8 people when we had family in town for one of the weekends. The location is fabulous. It's within very easy walking distance of a number of shops and restaurants, and there is a trail that goes through Golden right out the back door that we would use every day for runs or for taking the dogs for a walk. I would definitely recommend this house!

My husband and I travel several times a year and always rent a house through VRBO. We like space where we can relax after an exhausting day of sightseeing. This house did not disappoint. When we first drove up to the property, we noticed the unique brickwork on the house. There was a fenced yard with plenty of parking for guests. We enjoyed sitting outside beneath the patio each evening to check our email messages and discuss the events of the day. Even though there were only two of us, this house can easily accommodate 8 people. We did no cooking; however the kitchen was equipped if we had wanted to prepare a meal. There was a special surprise as well--three resident rabbits who provided much enjoyment. The owner was quick to answer questions we had upon arrival. Our best day trips were to Rocky Mountain National Park and Colorado Springs. The ride to Pike's Peak on the cog railway was awesome. We even found our way to Black Hawk to play a little Blackjack. There is something for everyone in Colorado!

Great views, large yard, walking distance to downtown golden, parks, and nicely equipped. Why the Owner Chose Golden:
We noticed the limited accommodations in Downtown Golden and are aiming to make this a special and unique place for travelers to Golden. And we're hoping to set the standard for vacation rentals. Hey VRBO, come stay here!

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Adjacent to Clear Creek and walking distance to all Golden has to offer. Cross the bridge behind house into Vanover Park at the end of the kayak course. Two blocks from the start of the Coors Brewery Tour. Two blocks to the Golden Hotel. Great for parents of Colorado School of Mines students and wedding parties. And you are only 20 minutes from Downtown Denver.
